    Very lucky.

Well done Molly, they say vitamin K is good for snake bite in a dog also.
  2. hahaha yeh right How many Australians on here know of wombats crushing dogs in their burrows, quite a few I would say!
  3. Awesome stuff Spud, we don't get many that quality in Oz. Our stags are in early velvet at the present.
  4. No mate, didn't get yesterdays paper, herbicides sounds about right though. Steve Irwin set up a sanctuary up near here a few years back, for the very reason of having a separate population in case something did start to happen too them in Tasmania. How'd u pull up this morning?
  5. Allgame you are dead right, a Tassie will destroy a fox, anyone who says otherswise has never seen a Tassie. Was down there earlier in the year and an old sheep cocky was telling since the devils have been developing tumours on their faces and started to die quite heavily all over the island foxes are know becoming numerous. He says that without a doubt was the Tassies that kept the foxes in check.

    Dingos

Known of the same thing happening Allgame, the dog that stole your venison though, if you had of sprung him and started yelling it would have taken off, the dogs around here are like that anyway, there are a lot of crossbreds out there these days, and they can be a different story, a pure job job though isn't interested in confrontation, they don't bother our cattle, for the simple fact the cattle will charge them. B#stard you lost your hard one venison.

    THE BIG ONE

Hatton is an absolute champion, when he beat our 'adopted' Russian son Kostya Zyu he was so humble about it, reckons the title was so much better because of the man he took it off, something you don't see in the sport these days. He give Kostya a boxing lesson that day. Not many blokes made it through without getting knocked out by either hand with Zyu, so hats of to Hatton, I think and hope that he will be way too tough for Mayweather, hopefully the weight doesn't go against him. All in all I think he is the best pound for pound fighter going around these days. Hope he goes well.
  8. Good stuff matey, u blokes have top quality free range Reds over there. Stabs and I will pull our fingers out and get a step by step butchering post organised in the new year. pic is of a red doe being skun on a purpose built rack that was made up to do sheep.
  9. Cracking piccy's mate, love the kestrels, I think Stabs just bought 1 of them cameras, will be looking closely to get 1 myself, thanks for sharing.

    Dingos

My cousin had a cross bred 1, it was the biggest pr#ck of a dog I have just about ever seen. Dingoes are coward dogs, (hence the term, 'u dingo b#stard' or 'your as yellow as a dingo', which I am sure the Aussies on here would have heard used before), they have no gameness at all, they merely kill to eat, apart from carrion they live on lizards, snakes and insects, you'll never see a fat one in the wild. They may catch the occassional skippy.

    New Union Jack

Feckin do goodin b#stards here want to have the Union Jack taken of our flag, never mind many have died and there are still some dying serving our country under that flag, and who are our boys fighting, the same pr#cks that want to change the flag, if they don't like it LEAVE!
  14. Who said anything about saddles Old Mate, u get a rope and thats it!
  15. Nice one SJM, love hare hunting!
  16. This is another Aussie animal that Stab's has to contend with when he comes hunting up my way! Told me he wants to ride him, didn't you mate, I bet a few would like to see that footage!
  17. Thanks very much OTC, u obviously know your stuff, I'll take a photo of it beside a rabbit trap for comparison, in size it is approximately halfway between a rabbit trap and a Lane's dingo trap. Thanks again.
  18. Bought this trap a couple of years ago and have know idea what it was actually made to catch. An antiques dealer told me it was for possums but I have yet to see a possum that would warrant such a trap. The spikes are something I have never seen before and a couple of dog trappers I know have never seen 1. In size it is between a rabbit trap and a dog trap. Any information greatly appreciated.
  19. Yeh Old Mate, where we got 1 last time, they were everywhere, even 3 red hinds. That rabbit bait hasn't been put out yet either, I hope he has no time to do it.
  20. Went out looking for hares to photograph this afternoon, seen heaps, got a few shots off, but nothing great, we had a good storm earlier and I think it may have made them a bit toey as I couldn't get real close. Anyone else experience times when they won't sit still? Anyway heres some pics. Pics are not the best but would like to share anyway. Seen 3 red deer also, but was too slow.
  21. Good pics Stabs, and it is a skirt WILF, Stabs has a wardrobe full of them!

Dingoes around here won't come anywhere near most dogs, although a mate was mustering cattle once and a bitch dingo/cattle cross came out of the creek and had a bit of a chase of the cattle! Here's a pic of a few dingoes anyway. Notice the missing scalps, most councils pay a bounty of between 10 and 50 dollars for a scalp.
  23. I like the comment about marks around the face, I always have people telling me that their pig dogs are that good that they never get ripped, thats when I walk off! Stabs staffs, were very good draw dogs, they had a bit of other breeding in them though.
