    i remember when we were kids , damning the burn downstream , with stones and divots , then wading down through the burn poking all the hags for salmon , they swam out and down stream , into the dammed pool of water , we then broke the damn a little to let the water out , the salmon followed, cos of the other lads splashing above , we then netted all the salmon coming through the breach in our damn, easy as pie and very productive , ingenious when we were kids.

    just noticed this afternoon , that my cement mixer has been nicked , this has not been the mindless act of kids , but adults ,cos it would have taken 2 adults to carry it from my back garden around the front , obviously to a waiting van or trailer to take it away , if i find out the culprits , wo behold , my actions will not be very nice to see , so if it was YOU beware i might just see you in the DARK for some repurcussions.

    yes it is worth the effort after a nights hunting , checking for injury's as well as cuts , i allways rub mine down with curaco, before a nights lamping and when i return then putting them in the porta mag for 45 mins each, it's only fair on your dog , i also make sure they have electrolytes, before and after a hard nights graft , got to remember these are athletes , so we must to the best of our ability look after them

    as it's the school holidays in the borders now , my mates son pestered me to take him shooting tonight , so we went up to the new permission i've just recieved , as we approached the farm , we noticed lots of hares around the barley feilds , he was eager to get at them , i said hold your horses , as we have to set the sights on the rifle , off we went with the air gun & pellets and the dogs , he had several shots at pigeons , rabbitts , crows , and hares , we managed to shoot 4 large ones , heres a picture of the happy lad , http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii167/d.../Picture111.jpg wis

    the reason the raffle is first is , everybody that buys a ticket deserves the chance to win , sometimes when it's at the end , lots of people , who have bought tickets have already left , as for the p.a. system nothing wrong with it , it's me the thick f****r who cant work it properly , but thanks for your words , hope im right in what i've said , cheers

    yes i'd have to agree , but i much prefer to jerk , minnows , far more productive than most rubber baits , in fact you dont just catch pie , but sometimes large trout aswell

    no , i dont think it should have been stopped , not at that moment , but to say of all the punches he's taken over the years , thats bullshit , the bbbc, have the most stringent tests for boxers anywhere in the world , if they thought gomez had taken so many punches , they would not have granted permission for this fight , having been a boxer myself , when khan fights a real puncher "not past his best years , like gomez " he will pay the ultimate price , a defeat , cos he's got a glass jaw , just like bruno had , he cant take body shots either , so come to your own conclusions

    cupid, as for flapping tracks , not very good circuits , you have obviously never been to gretna , where the circuit is first class , and for the dogs , well they aint all dogs that have never " made the grade " some of the country's top greyhounds , and trainers , have and will continue to race around the circuit at halcrow stadium , bookies will and do , take some substantial bets from the owners ,
