    anybody who read my post will know that my greyhound ripped a paw the other week, well shes fully recovered from that so last night a took her,the wee saluki dog an my friends big 3/4 lurcher out for a run..first slip an the two big dogs ended up running into each other at full speed..(ouch) took her to the vet today an he said shes fractured a few ribs an has quite a lot of bruising an has not to be walked for 2 weeks an not allowed off the lead for a further3-4 weeks...so thats me down to the young dog for a while..will the bad luck continue?????

    my greyhound done away with a neighbours cat a few years ago..walking up the road towards the house she took off running(stay in a cul de sac) thought she was off to see my other neighbours wee mongrol dog who suns himself on the pavement an plays wi my dogs but it was the cat she was after..was over in the blink of an eye but a couldnt just let it go an went to tell my neighbour as it was a family pet an his reply was"thank f*ck for that,a hated that thing a was hoping either a dog or car would have got it!!!!" turns out it was his wifes an he hated the thing..to this day she still thinks it

    nice catch mate went out myself with my young dog an my mates lurcher for an hour up to a local golf course an the rain was goin sideways its was so windy an all i got was soaked but it was the first time my young un had been out with a lamp but still was keen despite the weather being horrendous..well done mate 1 is better than what i got!! cheers chris...

    it does go on.. sad fact..problably a lot more than people know..a few of the greyhound guys have been known to dose the dogs up with anything from roids,speed,cocaine amongst a host of other things..personally i would not give these people the steam off my dogs piss!!! then they wonder why the dog drops dead in the middle of a hard run if your using stuff like this on your dogs then your headin for disaster in my opinion..cheers chris

    just got the dogs fightin fit an on thursday night my greyhound nearly took one of her toes clean off on god knows what whilst running so i thought not to worry she'll be right as rain in a week or two..then yesterday while a was runnin the wee saluki cross with my mates lurcher he got snagged up on barbed wire an has a 3 1/2 inch gash on the inside of his back leg...whilst not the worst wire injury i've ever seen its laid him up as well...thank god my mates appendix burst an i'm lookin after his dog for him(haha only kidding) just an unlucky start to the season i guess..cheers chris..

    my wee saluki lurcher has developed an overwhelming bond with my young son an is starting to get a bit funny with people he doesn't know even going near him..an my boy got a hold of the phone when he was a year old an dialled 999,we only knew when we heard the growling coming from the front garden an looked out to see our greyhound hanging off a policeman with the other one wi his bat out shouting"call off your dog" so i've no doubt if you came into my property uninvited you would be leaving with more than a few bite marks

    was talking to a lad i know who has an american bulldog an we were talking about what the offspring would be like..anybody ever seen one of this type??or got any pics..a would imagine it would be a big heavy dog but maybe 3/4 the greyhound way would maybe make a hell of a lurcher for bigger game than rabbits..any thoughts..cheers chris..

    my greyhound bitch was a bit wary of chasing live quarry when i got her at 9 month old but the best thing i ever did was let her have a go at a few rats..after that she was raring to go ..just a thought ...all the best ..cheers chris..

    i've been looking for something like this myself mate...got a greyhound an a young lurcher..only thing i've seen like that was at a lurcher show in haddington(east lothian) that me an my mate went to last year(was on playing fields behind a pub)..think it was the guys from the JACK RUSSELL TERRIER CLUB GB that had the lure cos am sure i only seen terriers racing that day..but if a hear of anything i will certainly let you know..cheers chris..

    crackin pics mate...good weather,couple of dogs an the kids out as well..doesn't get much better than that..my wee boy is just over a year old an loves to watch the dogs run..a look forward to takin him out more than a do goin with mates..cheers chris..
