  4. the rough coated one in the pic wi his dam is my mates dog...the blue grey hound who is the dam is mine..he is about 25"tts an about 65lb in weight..crackin big placid dog, seems to have the easy goin nature of the hound but when he works you can see the terrier in him commin to the fore (ferocious hunting dog)..a would recommend this cross to anybody lookin for an all rounder..as i said earlier maybe am lookin at it through rose tinted glasses cos its my bitches pups.. but they never fail to impress me..cheers chris..

  10. If she's a full grey what doe's she need to prove? she'll be more than a match for rabbits and take the occasional hare....was she a track dog? In my experience Greys have big hearts but they tend to take a lot of damage because they are so thin skinned. So whether or not she proves herself is really irrelivant if your going to breed from her any half x lurcher mating will produce a racy looking dog more than capable of taking quarry whether the dam hunts or not. my grey bitch took a long time to get used to chasing live quarry but she got there in the end took a long time an a lot of
  11. i had the same problem myself a few years back an eventually decided to put a straight bedlingtonxgreyhound over her an get the 3/4 grey 1/4 beddie pups..just think of the beddie whippet cross you see..they turned out a bit bigger an a bit stronger...good on both hare an fox....
  12. No experience of abroad but have a copy of the old lucas book of working terriers facinating accounts of all aspects of terrier work both here and abroad great read even though a lot of his ideas and practices are antiquated and quite frankly dangerous for the dog. cheers mate ..just wondering mainly about types of terrier because the quarry is certainly going to vastly differ around the world..horses for courses a suppose..
  13. just wondering what type of terriers an what quarry they work in different parts of the world??? anyone got any experience of terrier work abroad?? cheers chris..

  17. there was only one bitch in the litter an she is 24" tts an very slim built(not sure exact weight) a will find out cos its my wifes sister who has her...she is jet black an smooth coated..like a very small greyhound in appearance..3 of the litter were broken coated an the other 3 smooth..the one my mate has looks more like a mini deerhound!! hope this helps...a really need to find the pictures of them .....he tends to wind up into a run if you know what i mean ...looks like hes galloping an then goes flat out as opposed to the greyhound who goes into top gear straight away cheers lads
  18. a own a pure greyhound an put a straight beddie/ghound 1st cross over her nearly 2 years ago..got 6 pups bred 3/4 an 2 went to pet homes the rest went to workin homes...my mate got one(for free) an it loves to go ferreting breaks foxes in two an has just taken his first deer single handed....a put pictures up about 6 months ago in a previous thread about this cross to let people see what the 3/4 greyhound beddie looked like..mostly whippet crosses you see of this breeding. my mates dog is 25" tts an weighs in at around 65lb,got a good big strong head an is great with other dogs an kids as well
