Watchman - yeah thats what set me off but there are plenty of others, aside from anything else its a pain in the arse scrolling through them to find something more interesting. lab-tastic - i'd hardly call it stressing. I just want to know what the point is? What does it acheive? Perhaps you could enlighten me?

How come, all of a sudden, nigh on every post on here is blatantly about banned game? Does it need to be so obvious, we all know what happens so why the need to broadcast it? Theres enough "guests" on here as it is without going out of our way to give them what they want.

Or we could try taking out a few youngsters and showing them the ropes. Without guidence and teaching a young aspiring hunter could easily become a very bad advert for hunting, you only have to flick through a few threads on here to see the results.

I've shot a .20 falcon since 1999 and have shots hundreds of head of game with it. I've bought, and since sold, several more modern multishot pcp's but always tended to find excuses for taking the old favourite. I prefer it, shoots flat and hits hard using .20 FTT pellets. I now use the calibre solely, even bought another .20 falcon cabine for the wife (although, to be fair, i tend to use it more than her for out the car or ferals when the full length on is too big!)

Going out with herdwick and his dogs has that affect!!! I bought my terrier after seeing his pack work, bushing is seriously addictive!

No wonder they've banned the sport we all love when this is how we portray ourselves to the rest of the world. What happened to respecting your quarry and most importantly your dog?

Griff did well, much more focused than last time. We'll have to get him out more often, theres no substitute for experience!

Terriers or spaniels work the cover and flush rabbits to the lurchers, it can be great sport as you never know what'll happen. The terriers need to be keen and willing to face cover to either flush or catch rabbits in the bushes, the running dogs need to understand that they need to keep with the cover dogs and be in the right place to catch bolters. It helps alot if the dogs all know each other and how they each work as this makes them more able to read the signals and act accordingly. Not sure how you train them to do it, mine just picked it up working with more experienced dogs. Just ge

It was a very good day, Blue worked well for his first time out and i was pleased with Ollie too. I cant wait til the other two are sound again, we'll have a nice even little pack then!

it really opened my eyes watching him that night!! will be intresting to see if he starts they way he finished next time i get to run on your ground or if he makes the same mistakes again!! i blame the lamp lol Yeah, it was the first time he'd run using a filter. I bet he will remember it next time, hes a clever one!

It was my ground the dog was run on and i think he didnt do badly. To start with he missed alot due to not getting on them fast enough or going down the wrong side of the beam. I think hes a clever dogs whos learnt his ground well and he came unstuck on unfamiliar fields. Coopers ground is bigger fields and the dog was used to having the time to work them whereas my ground is small fields lots of cover and fences and unless the dog is on them quick the rabbits are gone. To Blue's credit over the course of the night he worked out that what he was used to wasnt working so he changed his tactics

i put my bitch (jrt x whippet) to a whippet x greyhound, the dog is more of a whippet size and build. i put a link to a pic of my bitch above the pic of the pups, dya reckon the the pups are gona be of a small size due to the size of my bitch??? a few people have said they could go either way taking the height from the sire or the dam. i personally think their heights gona be limited due to the bitch to be honest I couldn't really say I know with hybrids the pups can vary quite alot!! Sounds like you should have some very racy looking pups as for size I'm not sure!! Keep putting pics

You are a fool who dosent deserve the dog, you've bred from an unproven bitch whos barely grown herself, not bothered to get her fit, put her straight into work and wonder why shes yapping. Its probably frustration, no doubt shes frustrated by being run by someone who clearly isnt competent. Find her a proper working home and get a goldfish. i am a fool your having a laugh mate i bought her of my mate when she was pregnant but he said she wasn't because she wasn't showing at all and all i have done is ask for abit of help of people that now abit more then me thats all and i get some o

That is Tyla's jack russellXwhippet. The "experts" said this dog would be too slow for rabbits and too small for anything else. Well just goes to show what these "experts" know thats because it was made in scotland from girders lol good to hear hes doin the biz bud Its all in the breeding lol
-
I have a jrtxwhippet, 21" to the shoulder and doing all I could ask. When we got him we were told he would be too slow for rabbits and too small for anythings else, luckily neither proved to be true Good luck withy the breeding, you might be pleasantly surprised!

Well said

Glad shes ok, she had us all a bit worried for a while there!

Yeah, it was good. I also forgot to mention, the terriers flushed a mink from a huge bonfire heap next to the flight pond. They lost it into cover very quickly but at least the owner now knows its there so he can get a trap or two out. Thanks to herdwick and his cousin for the invite
