    Think it's 15 on the gate for adults and five for kids , I'm going Saturday and taking me scruffy runner but I'm sure the regular Rossett hunters will clean up as normal in the shows ,a mate got a stall there this year selling walking sticks and cattys so hopefully he'll do OK, he makes some cracking sticks and carves some good lurcher and terrier heads .

    I used to walk the lanes around belvoir Castle with me grandad when I was just a kid ,he'd walk along and point to the hedge saying pheasant nest and we'd collect half the eggs and he'd take them to the keeper and get payed for it but always left some for her to sit on , I grew up just in lincs but live Rutland now .

    I pick them every year if I can for belvoir fruit farm that makes fruit drinks, they have drop off points in Derbyshire, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and buy them for about six weeks each year ,if you put leg work in and pick you earn some good money in six weeks .

    Last few days I've been out picking elder flowers ,been earning OK money and as you no it grows all over the place ,picked 90 kilo in last two days at 3 quid a kilo so I'm happy and the dogs are getting plenty of exercise and having good mooch about .

    That looks small compared to the two I see at sacerwel dog show on Sunday, Chase a wolf lol they couldn't chase each other they that big ? such a shame they ruined a type that was capable of pulling stags ,wolfs and man down ,

    My old whippet x getting on now and started to lose bit of weight but he's still enjoying his walks and eating well and seems happy but if things change I'd never let him suffer even though it'd break my heart to say good by , he's been my shadow for such a long time and probably best dog I've had. Breast of lamb ,beef heart ,beef mince ,tripe and sardines and lamb qnd offal mince his what I feed him mostly and he does well on it ,

    Most reptiles and frogs ,toads are shy creatures, adders very shy and just slip away if you disturb them ,we'll most of the time .I'd never seen wild adder until I moved here and now I see them regular. It's a shame the wild places are seeing more and more people, area I live in goes crazy with cyclists and walkers soon as the sun comes out .

    I was out early morning in the meadow at back of me house and see two adders basking ,they large population of them in this area along with sloe worms and green lizards

    My grandad always told us kids horses back legs hurt front ones kill . My mates horse kicked out at another horse few months ago and snapped one of its front legs and poor thing was pts so one kicking a juk be lights out. when my bedy grey just a pup she tried grabbing a horse by nose while it feeding but she not try it again after scolding I gave her,cattle are worse and I try stay clear of them as just to unpredictable .

    Sometimes you can get lucky with older dogs ,me uncul gave me my whippet lurcher when he 18mts ,he was in his 80s when he got him as pup thinking he still had the legs to get out doing bit rabbiting ? think he drove to few spots let dog have a run but that's about it so he gifted him to me and he turned out one best dogs I've had and we got a bond that I never had with any other dog so far ,I be honest Ray he never caught a day time rabbit unless ferreting but he took good number of hares that we kicked up and he had few muntjac ,roe and OK on lamp but his working days over now ,he's happy goi
