Look like he not same louie as the one im thinking of defo came from the leicester area ? I not really into courseing but remember the saluki / grey he had was a hell of a hare killer and its offspring made exellent lampers ?

Used av a lad sounding simlalar had conections to our patch used to run a half x late 70s early 80s some sort of dog ? One of the lads bred some pups sired by it ?

Im surrounded by shooting eastates we also get rich londoners move up sell there places for mega bucks a buy places with land up here spaniel kickers we call them all the gear no idea think they own everything one flash of light and there on the phone oh times av changed ? Yet the shoot i go on has sydicate from cheshire and manchester and are great.bunch no snobbery at all hence all runs smooth with great returns ?

Not much darkness now tho the fields are lit up like. Blackpool with rifle boys i sometimes think thats why the rabbit numbers have declined even the. Best lamping lurchers in the world can t compete with a rifle ?

Dont know what whippets you seen but iv seen some full of guts and go though cover some terriers would struggle with ? Theres no quicker dog on a rabbit and they exel at ratting aswell ?

When i was a kid they were all collie / whippet types or just straight whippets ? Think alot may be going back to smaller types since the stupid ban ?

Started in the game ferreting. And thats how wana finish thinking of putting whippet over my beddy grey to produce a.rough whippet be ideal for the job a rabbit in daytime rarely runs more than 25 yrds so i. Be turning the clock back to ferreting /. Ratting type dog i started with ?

Work my lurchers on game shoot mate and always thort if i was ever to have a gun dog id go for a working cocker as there the best iv seen ? But as for anything else other than me trusted lurchers for ferreting is a no no

Many years ago.before i reformed well sort of lol got caught ferreting on a eastate ba....rds took all the gear didnt take the dogs them days got fined £5 and costs but got all the gear coz a mate came to court and said id lent it of him so got it all back as they cant take stuff that dont belong to the offender thats a fact ?
