    That’s what BASC said, he is desperate for them back so he doesn’t have to rely on others, but the first time was for assault and the second domestic, I can’t see anyone putting there name to that grant of a SGC / FAC

    Not sure if I’m posting this in the right section but I would be interested to know other people’s views on this someone I know had there FAC and SGC revoked following a domestic incident two years ago, tried applying for his shotgun back after two years but was refused and told by firearms they wanted to see another 3 years before he can try again ( 5 years in total) this is the second time he has had them taken off him what I wanted to know is, is there anything stopping him going out with people who hold and FAC or SGC or does him having them revoked work like a firearms banning o

    I’ve never heard anyone have a good word to say about guns on pegs, a mate of mine bought a mixed day pheasant, partridge and duck, the duck was advertised as a flight pond when they got there it was a puddle outside the house, they complained and got the story of how well it’s been shooting, 3 mallard for the day make you think he might of been stretching it a bit, the problem is he also paid up front for this

    Very kind offer, if you were up my way you could of come and had a go at the little grey pests over rape, people shouldn’t be charging that amount of money for pigeon shooting, a little drink out of it to show your appreciation but not over £100 a gun, that’s a joke

    Invite him round and make him a nice cup of tea and see if you can sort your differences out, if that fails just smash him over the head with the tea pot, but don’t tell anybody on a public forum you are going to do this ?

    It’s always best to go over the top with security, i was advised to put a vault locking safe bolted to a outside wall or concrete floor with separate ammo safe for the rifles, if you show them that you are serious about the safe storage of any firearm this can only go in your favour ? good luck

    My mate feeds his with off the shelf 55g v max for fox, you can push these way past 150 yards with little to no scope adjustment as they fly fast and flat, IMO there’s no better fox dropper off the shelf, but to be honest, no matter what you put in it it will drop a fox where it stands ?

    I wouldn’t of said that, it’s more a case of all the gear no idea, but seen as every days a school day and I’m able to get advice from people like your good self I think I’ll get there in the end?

    We use cd’s in the pheasant pens I think they would work well where I’ve been shooting the last couple of days to keep them out the trees at the end of the field?

    This is my sad face ? yesterday pigeons as far as the eye could see ( well a few anyway) today not a sausage, pigeon shooting drives me mad

    Thanks for the advice, I like that balloon trick, I never thought of that, we do the bag on a stick and that works well, I gave up earlier to day and went to bother the crows on the farm

    Think I might have to do that, I’m here now and not having much luck all the birds are sat in a wood I don’t have permission on, the buzzards are doing a better job the me today keeping them off my mates fields?

    That Napier solvent works a treat, I use it on my 17 t bolt, once you have cleaned it out a bit of oil and good as new

    An hour on the oil seed rape, with my mate, there was a massive amount of birds about but with there been so much rape in the surrounding fields you would get a few shots off then they would move on for 10 mins before the next group would come along, still some shooting is better than no shooting

    It’s a shame you are so far away from me as I don’t mind people tagging along with me as long as they are not mental, just a little tip, try horse stables/livery yards they don’t like rabbits on there land and air rifles are perfect for shooting in the paddocks, good luck in you search ?

    It used to use the winneys all the time the worked very well in the little cz, now if I’m out just bashing rabbits I use cci subs because they are as many as you can carry for about 10 quid

    Over 50 I like the .17 head shot, they always seem to do a back flip to let you know you have hit the sweet spot

    I got that impression with them, I had a few shots at 50yards through my little cz, the target was drawn on a4 paper, some of them didn’t even hit the paper, I’m going to put this down to the stingers because that little cz will fire anythanything

    Hi, new here so just a quick one, I came across a box of .22 cci stingers, has anyone used them I can’t for the life of me work out what you would use them for, the crack of them sounds like my 17hmr and the group somewhere in a foot square

    I was given a box of these a week or so ago I’ve never used them yet because I always found eley to be a dirty round, after reading your posts I might give them a miss
