Well had a couple of spare hours Friday lunchtime so I decided to go knocking on farmers/landowners doors,, only two as I pass them both on my way to my shooting perm, unfortunately there was no answer at either of them, the first I had a look round but no-one to be seen, proper farm tho cow shite, barns and feed everywhere with a good stock of crows, Maggies and god knows what else flying around the muck heaps, so just as I was leaving a tractor pulled up and asked who I was looking for, so on reply he said the owner will be out much of the day, and could I leave a contact number and he,d pas

  3. Mines on the hw100 all the time, as I take mostly prone shots, but can get In the way when stalking + it's Xtra weight not so good when stalking....
  4. That was the idea, to use the higher mag for rangefinding then lowering the mag to shoot rather than using a separate range-finder, most of my shooting is done static/prone as it's a small perm and they get spooked easy when walking around...
  5. Not ideal for hunting I agree due to the size and weight, but something I would like to try, if anything just to be different from the norm... MTC said they stopped making them a few years ago, but PELLPAX said they can order me one and get it within a few days...

Well got out again for the last couple of hours before dark, decided to walk upto the small bit of woodland there is on the perm, say woodland probably about 60 trees at most, anyway picked a shaded area under a huge beech and sat it out and took these three as they landed in the trees, didnt even see a rabbit this evening but a mixed bag for a change.... All three were left where they fell till I packed up, they've gone to my mates now for ferret food, need to Invest in a small freezer use em for decoying...

  9. Hi guys, the above scope has anybody had any experience with them, apparantly mtc stopped making them and bought out the viper pro 5-30x50....

  12. Decided to pop up to the perm for the last 2/3hours before dark managed a squirrel staring at me 35yds away from a tree, he won't be staring no more.. and the one bunny again, 45yds ranged with the rangefinder, jsb heavy .177 straight through its noggin, do t think it felt a thing...
  13. Next time I'm on the permission I,ll try the 100yd shit shot challenge with the hw100 with single shot pellet tray see if it makes a difference from mag fed... ?

  20. These hw97 & hw77 look like popular springers, I'm guessing they've been modified and tuned to shoot as accurate as they do... Thanks for the offer mate,live 5minutes from m/cr Airport..
