Pigeons were the order of the day today, so me Jet and the wildcat took a stroll down to our favourite hide down in a small copse on my mate kevs farm . Was bitterly cold when we got there at 7:30 ,but on our approach I could see a few pigeons flittering amongst the ivy picking off the berries ? So got setup in the hide and waited with the dog . Not long after a pigeon glided in just above the hide a 16 yarder and first bird in the bag ?and a retrieve for Jet .? Then missed two on the trot ! But came good on the third shot just under 20 yards and whacked another that made it

Ok , yes mate I have the primos model had it for 15 years or so ! . Like every call you need to practice but do work , I have in the past called them close enough to poke them with the muzzle lol ! The acme pigeon call is also excellant especially this time of year Regards, Mike

After last week's sorty at the woods , I decided to head back there this morning for a couple of hours Parked up outside a stable block that sits beside the woods and got the dog out and the wildcat and headed inside the woods . I love the wildcat and is the perfect rifle for the woods ? Got myself settled along with the dog ,poured a coffee and waited, it wasn't too long before a nice Willy crow pitched in I managed to get a decent reading on the rangefinder 43 yards give or take a yard ( its always tricky getting a good reading this time of year loads of twigs can play havoc with

Ok thanks for the comments, I had the stock dipped locally to me . There's a lot of places that hydro dip these days . Was going to get the laminate stock but that was £400 ! ?so I got it dipped instead Regards, Mike

DOH ! Lol , the squirrel call is a bellows type made by primos its several years old now though but still does the job of bringing them in Regards, Mike
