Is there any point at all having a discussion or debate ? It do you just want a place to rant and vent your anger ? I have an honest question for you ? Are you the kind of guy who thinks whites are just totally (perhaps genetically) superior to other races ? Honest question, not an attack, I’m just curious

I suppose my argument would be that I would wish my children to learn the history of the world, the good, the bad and the ugly and I would also wish them to be taught an entirely accurate version of it. I believe world history has relevance anywhere. Certainly as much relevance as something like trigonometry. But ..... my original comment wasn’t actually aimed at small town Europe, but more the USA, where black history month was thought up I believe. And you can’t even begin to deny that for a long time the part that folk or various non white ethnic groups have played in the history

I do sort of get it. For a long time black folk were kind of written out of history, as it was written by the dominant people in power at the time, and those who were literally capable. Ie us whites So yer, I get why it would be good to highlight the parts black folk have played in history . . .. But s usual we somehow just make it some f***ing weird lip service, thats a bit cringe and hand clapping and only really appeases a bunch of flakey lefty whites. Odd world we live in.

Glad you admit it! Seriously though - someone who is black gets into and completes medical school and then joins out nhs ..... and that’s the blacks relying on the whites. What .... like is whites rely on them to provide enough doctors to keep our nhs functioning ?

He was part of his first deer rescue today as well ? the mrs was walking them in the field behind the house Yer it’s gonna rest suck when he’s older having to keep him on a lead when they are around ?

Come on mate. You can’t really say that, they are doing the work and thinking themselves and passing blind marked papers etc. So I wouldn’t say they are reliant on white folk - just the university system which has been built up through our past wealth and dominance.

Like, I’m stood here going through a pen of a few hundred sheep, two collies etc jumping about and this lot are watching me from the field next to where I’m working.

I’m not overly keen to hold him back, and don’t really intend to, but where I live ..... let’s just say it’s rather densely populated with game. I just could do without him at six months or so, getting on a hare in a big 100 acre field, then another and another and another etc. Same with other stuff, from the min you go out my back door you’re bumping into stuff. My concern is more to do with injury than anything else.

Sounds spot on! I’m currently spending time keeping him away from game. Sadly it will soon mean a bit less free running. But he’s started to retrieve and carry now and and jump a bit.

Fair play! That’s some feeding. Mine has access to biscuit all of the time and just meat as and when ? probably should start to whack a bit more meat into him. He’s got plenty of energy though and isn’t overly skinny or owt so I’m happy enough with him. He looks like a saluki but doesn’t act like one! Very focused on me.

He eats ok, but if a picker, but puts lots away of that makes sense. He’s thrown very saluki though in build

Other than novelty, and possible luck through hybrid vigour, i can't see what you get that you couldnt from a lurcher x lurcher.

Haha. Maybe one day mate. But in all honesty I’m not a fan of collie blooded dogs. With regard to my comment re average dogs. It wasn’t a knock at anyone. I currently have four collies, only one is special. The others, including the one I’d breed lurcher from if I did are varying levels of average. And sadly with the lurchers to, I now find myself in possession of only average dogs. Current hopes are pinned on a couple of pups!

That’s it mate. I just take my old collie. But my old man is a spaniel man and a good one at that, and watching his dogs work a piece of cover is a pleasure and there’s nothing that gets left behind.

Sure. But what I meant was, I’ve been on a lot of shoots to, and see a lot of spaniels that’s we’re hunting no better than most other breeds of dog. But I’ve been lucky to see some top flight spaniels and they have been a thing to behold. Same with collies, most dogs I see are pretty average but you don’t notice so much until you see a good one!

One thing I’ve learnt is a hell of a lot of all types of working dogs are decidedly average.

She has. She's 22", leggy and fast. Very obedient, but has a hard feral side. Zero fear of livestock and a very head on approach. I use her as a catch dog and she catches both ewes and lambs very well and with no messing about, she just hits the ewes like a train in the neck / shoulder, and grabs lambs like a soft mouthed lurcher lol. Jumps well, and will chase and catch other game on command and has had a few bits and bobs.

I’d probably be as well sticking a good whippet over my fast little collie bitch.
