    I said to you that I had seen one bitch of said breeding do that one time, and that the same bitch was capable of catching some decent bags of rabbits, and we also had success killing deer in the day and on the lamp, and lots of foxes day and night.     What I did was I told you a story that’s true and there are other witnesses on here. The bitch in question caught all of those things, she was never ever a hare dog, she just had a big enough heart to stop the odd one or two. She could however kill deer, rabbits and more foxes and other things than I care to remember. She wasn’t owned by me, but by another member on here, who you’ve already tried to belittle once, and she was seen in action by a handful on here.     I’m not bothered mate. I don’t think I’ve ONCE said saluki xs or coursing dogs are crap, but you’ve spent days telling folk they are idiots, keep crap dogs, don’t do proper hunting, etc etc. Like I said I think you’re probably quite sound, but you are at times coming across like a bit of a know it all bore on here, on a one man mission to promote one x over any other. They make you happy, and that’s what counts.

    If I’m honest I like a bit of everything, it would get boring doing the same thing every time. I do go through phases and I’m always out day and night. But it really is hard to beat just mooching about a good bit of land with some nice cover and plenty of game, knocking bits out and having a few runs, both great on your own with the dogs and with a couple of mates and a little pack. One day when it’s all knackered the last thing we will be able to do is go for a little mooch and knock a few rabbits out of the brambles, sad as it may sound!

    I was thinking that the other day, I’ve got a couple of young bushers and Lurchers to play with and always enjoy fetching dogs on and watching them learn to work together and on their own. The first catches a dog makes are always some of the most memorable.

    I also never said coursing dogs were sh*t, ever. I’ve got several friends with good coursing bred dogs, had a lad down off here this season with two very good coursing bred dogs, I’ve a yearling who’s grand sire on both sides was a coursing dog, and a grand dam that goes back to merlin and eve, oh and my main lamp dog has coursing blood in him ?
