  2. I put a hole adult rabbit in with mine (6) and take it out 2 days later depending on time of year ie flies or temp or whats left. (I aways gut what i put in) if you dont youll find out what i mean, and empty birds crops too When you feed them sqeak a dog toy so they learn foods coming, then when working them take the toy with you if reluctant to exit give a sqeak should come out. Defo want 2 of the same sex especially when seasons over to keep them active put new stuff in with them.   5. I have a hw77 .22 1990 (i believe 25mm internals) Anyone done pellet testing on this rifle and what did you find please? FF

  7. So i see that as a result of sorts. But no mention of ferals which are more of a problem on my perm. But does it mean they have a season between may and september? (When nesting) Nothing about decoying either? FF

  9. Yes shoot to scare does sound very loose and maybe a problem area, but how do you shoot to scare with an air rifle, shoot the ground infront of it? Ive seen the crows attacking the buzzards and kites at my perm. And they all line up on the pig sty fences waiting for an opportunity to get something. I dont remember reading anything about decoying? FF
  10. Ok i get it now... I read it as... we as livestock protectors have to take prevention steps first, as in scare crows and scarers. Or is this down to the land owner? If they still are a pest then as a last resort can shoot them, but a record must be made with what prevention steps were taken and how many were shot ect? FF
  11. So this potensionally means that a single shooter might have to carry 3 or 4 licences to shoot different species or do you think they will be merged in together at some point? I saw 6 jackdors bothering a lamb on sunday at my permission all i could do was scare them off. But they probably went straight back when i left. But no mention of jackdors on the new licence only crows. FF
  12. With making nets and breaking jrt to ferrets properly ive got a busy summer... He is showing great signs of marking holes, gets right in tail wagging doesnt do it on holes that aint in use. Truth will be seen next season. FF
  13. Will my v-sec hob be alright in a 10x5 court with 5 jills? Im abit concerned that they might gang up on him. Ive always taken a jill and put it in with him but the mrs wants to put a washing line up and needs the garden space, so ive got to get rid of his hutch (no where else to put it) Any help? FF

  15. A mate has an old .22 bsa superten. We got it out and chrony'd it today... only getting 5.6 pounds of energy. Ive read that the regulator can be a real problem to these guns. He wants to know if anyone can fettle and repair to make it great again. Any names please chaps. FF

  17. Never had a problem myself... using faps (falcons) Saw thumb after about 100 shots from pushing breech down. Just got to remember to close it or else a big bang. Makes you jump
