  1. One of my entire hobs will work well all year round, doesn't matter if he's in rut or not, he enjoys being worked
  2. Hiya peeps, I had a hob vasectomised mid February, he's mated 2 jills at the start if this month so now it's just a waiting game to see if he's firing blanks or if the jills will have kits. Obviously I'm hoping the op was successful because I don't like breeding more than 2 litters at a time and I've already got 2 jills that might be pregnant, too early to tell yet as they've only just been mated.
  3. I've got a litter due around the start of June and the jill has thrown dark eyed white kits in the past.
  4. Been ages since I've been in here because I forgot to login then forgot my password, just reset it now and the layout of the forum has changed though it's still pretty easy to use Anyway, I haven't done much ferreting this season so far, only been the once with my experienced hob and the hob I bred this year... Literally not much happened that time, only a few rabbits bolted and that was only when my experienced hob was in the warren. But the main reason I haven't been on the forum is because I've been switching college campuses and changing courses altogether because broomfield is shit
  5. These started opening at 3 weeks and all had eyes open before 4 weeks. They're really well developed kits then
  6. Of all things ferrets choose to sleep in and she chooses raw meat packaging lol
  7. I've got an albino hob, he's 4 now. Originally brought him as a vasectomised hob but he wasn't, I'm keeping his son from this litter my weird coloured jill just had so either I need to get him neutered or rehome him.
  8. "Panda faced ferrets" seriously? You've got to be kidding me, this sounds like whoever is selling them has no idea what they're on about.
  9. That's why I don't breed from the special marked ferrets, just to avoid that issue.
  10. impossable, if both parents are albino all the offspring will be albino. The characteristic for albinism is carried by a recessive gene, so if you mate two pure pink eyed albinos you get nothing but albino kits Thanks for letting me know. Though I didn't expect polecat coloured kits when I put my light silver to my other albino hob last year, even though the parents to the light silver jill are albino to dew.
  11. Why a DEW? Why not an albino? Or a light silver? Since light silvers usually turn DEW. Dunno if one of my pairings for this year with throw DEWs or not, I'm assuming not though since its albino to albino but it's possible there maybe 1 or 2 in that litter.
  12. Only a small handful of jills have the ability to bring themselves out if season like an EU can, my albino jill can according to her previous owner. My first ferret could be she only did it twice then was jill jabbed on her 3rd season, something changed in her temperament after the jill jab, she started biting other people then when she as 5, I got her implanted and her behaviour went somewhat back to normal. I have heard of jills not surviving to the age of 3 due to not being brought out of season. V hobs are good but jills will come back into season about 7 weeks later and mother the othe
  13. "Launch a bird carcass over the fence" I have done that before, it landed on someone's head.
  14. Where's his proof? Unless he has proof that they're evil, he can't say shit. And to prove him, well I'm sure you already know how, it's not difficult to prove they're not evil. They sound like really shittie neighbours to have, I'm sorry that you have to live next to some shitheads.
  15. If I was closer to you then I could give you a kit when I breed my two working albinos this year.
