  4. She'll cover some ground once she gets experienced that's why I stick to the smaller x's. Them harrier blooded dogs can cover some ground for sure.
  5. She rarely leaves the field your in. Id say she's best of both worlds. 100% down to the lad who had her before me as she's getting better all the time so 3 yrs old and she's still learning, this is her first season on reds only. Had her out today she's worked well.
  6. Basically they work infront of me mate soon as they get on a Charlie there away then, they come back soon as they've lost him, the bitch works similar but don't stray as far soon as there on I just leave them to it but the bitch always comes back first and don't stay on the scent as long as my other dog.
  7. True mate but if I had her from a pup she'd be hunting more to my style but that's just the way it goes. She's a very good bitch and bred well, the old dogs never been bred from so atleast I can get something back from him and keep a pup and turn it into what I want.
  8. I got a beagle spaniel bitch I bought in handy bitch, good voice works really well. Only problem I have is she don't go far enough, i wish I'd of had her from a pup she's a good bitch. I'm going to put her to my old dog as he's done a lot of graft knows his job and move her on to someone who don't want to hunt as far as me. So not all of them are the same.
  9. Give Hancock a ring?
  10. Sorry to here that cantona ?
  11. sounds perfect for what you do mate, but even travelling for a field or two is already to far for my needs lol True it's what we need ?
  12. Interesting post squab, I find the terrier spaniel beagles, will range in big covers and also work hedgerows in front of you nicely till they get on a scent, they don't travel like a pure hound and usually loose them after a field or two depending on scent and can be called back easy enough.
  13. Guys full of shit love it or hate it it's the trueth and I'm entitled to my view to

  16. this aimed at me because I said I wouldn't own a dog with more than 1/4 begal in for working small patches ? Why not 3/8 or 1/8? truth be told i wouldn't even no how they would have be bred to make 3/8 or 1/8??

Well today I've heard some of the best stupidest hunting life quotes I'd put up there with the best I've heard. 1 beagle x's no good for small covers 2 why would you need beagle blood for small hedgerows and brambles?? no wonder no dog men your way have the time of day for you ?? alb you mong
