Why because there bred for it, what's a bull bred for? What's a beagle bred for? That should answer that one for you ! Anyway Gaz ask mud what does he think of my beagle blooded dog in hedgerows and bramble patches, go on send him a pm and he will tell you. This is no effence to mud as I like his bitch rousy she's not a bad little dog. But what would you need bull blood in a bushing dog for ? You don't !!!!! There no super X the next big thing ! there a little mooching dog mud bred because he was let down by lads to get out for a bush so he took a punt and produced some half tidy little dogs.

It depends what you need and the land you hunt doesn't it. I've got no use for beagle blood at all where I work my dogs at the moment. If that changed in the future then maybe my need for beagle blood would also ?So what kind of land do you need to run beagle x's on then Gaz?I woud imagine big moors and hill sides? What would you need beagle blood for in small fields and woods? I work the same/similar land to Navek and he's spot on above I reckon. Totally agree with you I prefere atleast half beagle and the rest a mix of spaniel and terrier get it right and it won't be beat imo

Same as we do it pal but I also take mine bushing Urbans small spots where they will put them out a soon as they move on a little shout and there back.

Does anyone else bush urban places small patches like myself with beagle X's there a strange myth I've heard that your dog will run thousands of miles if they have beagle blood in them???

Count myself lucky then as I run beagle x's , my old dogs had 5 good seasons bushing all year round, from Urbans to rural foxs and he's never been hit by a car must be luck lol coz he has beagle in him?

Navek what you say makes sense. I think the right cocker and bull have been used I don't think it would pay of the same if people started breeding this X from average dogs, how ever as keen as they are there different routes you could take them to produce even better animals. I personally wouldnt use a spaniel again but think a beagle X cocker would offer them a lot more, or if it was me I'd be going down the straight beagle route. Time will tell and hopefully some good things will come from these little dogs.

Nothing wrong with them bull cockers I've seen them work a few times not bad little dogs, would be a good base for a bit of beagle blood imo, they have there pros and cons like every other X, they ain't for me personally as I hunt foxs and need a dog to hold a line not for miles like a pure hound but enough to put some pressure on so he makes a mistake to the waiting guns. Id say they work more like a spaniel. There's no way there in the the 50 range I'd say potential to be at the top end of the ten. Even tho there's better x's out there they do the job and are descent little grafters not to e

no I haven't,they suit me and type cover I work round here,cheersThey seem to get the job done and are pritty biddable tbf, can you see yourself trying another X in the future say beagle spaniel ? Be good to see what the difference is. they make it easy for me to be fair which is a bonus,they work close and never drop in or feck off, i grew up around gun dogs, labs and spaniels and id not be able to train any dog to that standard but as im after out and out bushers theres no need obviously, went out with a lad years ago one his had drop beagle in the mix,cant remember it working any differ

Spot on my brother, personally after reading the article I don't see a blind bit of difference between any of that and the famous Wrecking Crew video that every tit rants about like it's the dogs bollocks. there's one difference which is a major factor, the wrecking crew DVDs was made befor the ban. Also never seen no llamas getting smashed in or caged foxs fighting with terriers

They had some nice dogs tbf mate fuking shame, I don't understand why you would drive to a police station if you where getting chased by a farmer for poaching, baffles me. What's done is done so I see no problem in highlighting it if it makes people think twice about taking pics and posting on facebook, might save some one from a future ban

Any one who has Facebook will know Brazil brush he was posting hundreds of pics on there for years, was only a matter of time no ones invincible.
