Surely that's impossible say you used a Plummer to a Lakeland and someone else did a Plummer Lakeland litter, they ain't going to be the same as what you have bred all terriers are different ! Different lines etc. exactly what you get is a big statement you must be a expert you sound like Plummer himself! , good lads breed seasoned dogs and still get shite. You don't always know what your going to get !!!

3 pound of meat a day fuk me, my busher only has too look at food an he looks like a barrel? He's just a solid lump of muscle of 1 scoop of biscuit and half a pound of meat a day, sometimes I cut it down coz he looks a fat c**t. And goes forever on that.

my self i am going beagle x spaniel to my bitch next year same father both sides but as any breeding take a chance Sounds like a good idea to me.

Bushers keep themselves fit, as above (squirel). The only reason I could see needing to get one fit is if they ain't out much. Otherwise with spaniel or beagle blood they should have natural stamina. I've taken mine on one or two bike rides in the past but not for fitness purposes ?

No terrier can work a hard shift like a spaniel x or beagle x while the terriers fade the x's are just getting started. One is as good as a pack of terriers imo.

Everyone is trying to re-invent the wheel it seems, I've worked cover (bushing) all my life with terriers of every sort and can not see the attraction in spaniel crosses at all other than lads that mainly shoot, a decent terrier will do everything a spaniel cross can and then some, its not that I don't get out and see them work either as I have and do, still its personal choice I suppose and they do not attract the attention of walkers,hikers etc when out like a terrier does ?? Thats a sad reflection of the times we live in now and how difficult it is to find honest homes for working pups bred.Its a lottery whatever home the pup ends up in and there is more chance the pup will fare better in a pet home.Some poor pet homes about,far more poor working ones.. Spot on pal glad you can see where I'm coming from, I've tried the hunting life law gifting pups to mates, only to be shat on and not appreciated so there will be no more free pups or stud fees in the future.

Working dog lads don't appreciate a animal as much as a pet home, treated like tools that can easily be replace or discarded. when I breed my bitch one day they will all be sold to pet homes and what I want kept back for working for myself.
