    Nice bright morning been for a long walk to put some cameras in a disused underpass on the m5 managed to get one at each end and one on a run alongside the motorway, just hope they don’t get triggered by the traffic

    Suspended sentence for running a hare is no different or less than having the shit kicked out of you and your motor and dogs took off you for running hares on Salisbury plane when we got caught in the 80s by MPs you just get better at not getting caught like I say we never had nothing to loose from the start so things don’t change like I say those that try and work within the law are the ones with lots to loose

    We’ve become better at moaning than the rest of the world it seems people comparing us to China and Korea ffs, I still get up and walk my dogs every day catty in pocket I shoot the odd squirrel pigeon or pheasant and the old dog generally gets a run on something or another I still get shouted at and told to get off peoples land but as a solitary person it’s easy for me to disappear through a hedge and vanish been doing it all my life and nothing’s changed, have spent many afternoon sat in a country pub watching plod racing up and down the road looking for me, it’s all part of the game we play

    Not me but my neighbours have just left in there van heading up country to visit relatives before heading to Scandinavia then over the next 5 months following the sun back to the uk through Europe daughters in west wales with her bloke in there van as well seems very popular at this time of year anyone else been out

    Got a bit of beef skirt left over from the summer so have beaten it senseless with a rolling pin and marinading in various rubs over night then laid out over a bed of spring onion,ginger,garlic and peppers for an all day slow roast on the wood burner

    There’s was a thing on the local tv many moons ago about the last salmon angler on the Severn that used to go out and net salmon like that out of lydney quite funny as they kept emphasising how you have to respect the river and the knowledge was dying out blah blah blah and at the end of the show an epitaph came on screen for the old boy who,d drowned just after making the show lol

    Merry Christmas one and all up at 8 fire roaring dogs walked housework done just awaiting the hurricane of kids and grandkids to descend on us for an hour or two before we all head off to eldest daughters boat for dinner and drinks hope you all get what you wanted and have a great day

    The boating community are quite tight knit and they will be looked after but yes that’s a shitter to wake up to,though I must admit I do like the challenges things like this bring I’m an old decker and every adventure could be the last it makes you feel alive

    We got one bloke coming in for drinks on Christmas just because he has no family and a lad in his 20s that’s become part of my family since we lived here that will share Christmas with us and do our family holiday with us later in the year it’s what life’s for

    Cheers Greg can’t upload video since I fell in last month and killed my third iPhone of the year so I’m back on the £25 burner again until one of the kids upgrades and gives me another old model lol anyways Whitchurch canal has gone as well normally a rare thing now three in the week
