It’s just what I pick up off the floor at work mostly mate so as I’m getting paid as well I just go down the easiest route, don’t mind separating a bit but not stripping like I used to when I did it for a wage, mad thing is most of the youngsters ask me what I,m doing then start chucking me any stuff they find but it seems a bit below most people nowadays to make money from muck, just finished loading the back of the car and she’s quite down on the suspension so hopefully a reasonable pay day for little effort had enough for one day so I,ll take it in the morning ??

Let’s have a guess to the nearest tenner, got roughly 10 battery’s a copper water tank, one recycling crate of brass taps one of clean copper pipe three sacks of painted copper, three sacks of wire with coating on and a sack of lead flashing ?

Quite simples really I know a few of you do the scrap so was just wondering what are prices like at the moment as in good bad or don’t bother,just not been a work for a few weeks got a van full of brass, copper, lead and battery’s so if price is ok may as well go and off load cheers ?

Good on you Keith, have a look at local walking groups in your area as well mate, gets you out in the countryside with a group of similar aged locals good way of meeting people and getting out ???

I,m hoping to retire later this year early next and that will be my next move to travel round the network a bit more am stuck in an area at the moment due to work family etc but slowly sorting through it to give me much more freedom once I hit 60 ??

Backs a bit better during the day, night time still a lot of pain but I,ve managed to crimp all new ends on my battery’s ready to get my bss ticket hospital on tues (not mon) and should be back in work we’d/thurs ready for my holidays to start on Friday ??

Done two diazepam lots of gin lots of smoke finally went to sleep about 2am until 11 this morning feeling a bit better, am down in my engine bay now crimping all the battery terminals on for my safety examination small steps and all that couldn’t stand up on Saturday so quite chuffed with progress will do all the negatives today and positives tomorrow ??

Been having a few back issues last few weeks, got up Saturday morning and bang prolapsed my l3 disk mad thing with this disc is it affects the right leg particularly the knee, so my knee is proper agony can’t get comfy and haven’t slept much in 4 knights, just been given this big bag of pain killers that I,m not much of a fan of, but I really want a nights sleep, so the question is if you were just going to take one or two before bed what one would you take just to get a nights kip, help I’m knackered ?

Here is my detector and the list that comes with it the number at the beginning of the name is the frequency they use so you can tell a few but the more common ones all seem to be on or around 45 it’s good fun for not much money ??

Living on a boat I,m surrounded by them most nights, I have a bat detector and even when you can’t see any there are still lots about, ??

Everybody cries and moans but does f**k all, if you all went not guilty on your speeding fines and had your day in court the system would collapse in an instant, it’s all based on your compliance, if they want money or points on my licence I will make sure it costs them not me, last speeding ticket = three court appearances in bath magistrates and a not guilty for me, it was my third offence and my third not guilty, have your day in court and make them earn any money’s rather than just hand it over with your tail down then moan ?
