That's a great heathy looking litter Donny.

I didn't make the game fair, Chamonix to Orleans was a bit too far for me, would have liked to have went. One day I will, looks like a good time.
-
?
-
Cheers
-
What region, I'm over there in a few days.
-
Your keeping them right then.
-
? did you own the two of them.
-
Interesting, I stick to about 5 no matter how much they can take, the majority of this stuff are flyers and holding them back is the hard part dogs and bitches, they could do with easing up a bit, good luck with yours.
-
Just out of curiosity RH how many digs would you give your first season bitches, my bitch has just turned two, she had 7 handy digs last season, she likes to mix it, I'm happy with 5 usually, no matter how they work their game.
-
You beat me to it Glyn ?
-
A tidy garden and tidy pups is a thumbs up from me ?.
-
Haha kaiser, I could dig to each one of them and that was good enough for me.
-
I think I put this pic up before, two I had a while back. A park dog on the left and a nuttall dog on the right, miner was the father of the nuttall dog, I can't remember the name of parks dog.

I think a few volumes of c**ts and wankers could easily be filled, it's the main reason I keep my circle very small and dig on my own plus I can't stand big mouth bullshitters, met a first class one a couple of seasons back my head was ringing for days afterwards. It was another case of (this lad is sound) by someone I knew, washed my hands of that prick too.
-
What year where the two dogs in the first pic bred Glyn, have they got more of your blood or nuttals in them.
-
Glyn if what you have is as interesting and informative as it sounds why don't you put pen to paper. I'm sure you could add your own experiences and thoughts on matters, there's very few books out there written by true dogmen without the thought of coin being the main objective. I don't know you personally but I can see your passion for terriers and terrier work, I might be getting ahead of myself here not everyone wants other people knowing their business me included, but I would pay my hard earned cash for a copy, could you sign it too haha ?

The problem is Barrie we are all tarred with the same brush, you know that it's nothing new, the point I was trying to make is a quick and immediate response to distance ourselves from that sort of cruelty and the only way is to fight fire with fire. I understand the NWTF etc have a battle on there hands and are doing there best. Atb Barrie I've said my tuppence worth.
-
It's not that hard to comprehend Corkman everyone has different views that's how it is. I'm sure we will see a statement from the NWTF condoning the actions of the f***ing idiots in the countrymans weekly or some other publication, and your going to tell me the NWTF also tried to make a statement on the channel 4 programme saying 99.9% of professional law abiding working terrier men work with farmers and landowners controlling vermin but the programme refused them, and I'm sure their spokesman went out of their way to distance any organisation from the cruel b*****ds.
-
Thanks for your detailed reply Barrie much appreciated, we may take a different route but we end up at the same destination. ?
-
No offence taken Barrie, I won't disect your post because I don't feel the need to highlight points we might disagree on. If I come across as someone who is against this committee or that club or this federation (I forget how many there is, sorry) I'm not and you can only do so much, but I think it's inevitable we are where we are today. All the marches and paperwork can only do so much maybe if the right foundations were put in a long time ago hunting may not be where it is today. I'd like to know if the country's you have visited to hunt had a licenseing system in place l would be surprised
-
I think we have agree to disagree lads but I know if I got a knock on the door right now and was asked to get a license to dig to my terriers I would fly down and get one and if I got caught digging without one I'd get my van and dogs confiscated my house raided and a prison sentence, f**k me it's a no brainier. And let me tell you fellas is not a nice experience enough said ?.
-
Morton I fully understand where your coming from but sometimes you have to take two steps back to take one forward pal, I for one know how corrupt and unjust the system is and have been on the receiving end a number of times, but with your mentality pal we are where we are and we have to live with it. It's only going to get worse and if the royal family couldn't save fox hunting the NWTF etc aren't going to save terrier work and anyone who thinks they will are dillusional. We are fortunate to be able to put a terrier to ground so let's make the most with what we have got for as long as we can.
-
I think some of you fellas are fooling yourseloves if you think a license wouldn't be a move in the right direction, don't get me wrong it wouldn't eradicate the fools that we seen on the TV, if someone wants to drive a car they will, if someone wants to shoot a gun they will, licenses are there for a reason it makes it harder for people to go out and do what they want anytime they want otherwise every f***ing idiot will be driving around and shooting guns etc. It should have been brought in years ago, the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages and if not why do we look over our shoulders
-
I remember reading something in the late 80s that a well known author/terrierman wrote that a license for terrier men might be brought into effect and I thought that's a good idea it might stop most of these idiots abuseing the countryside and make terrier work more professional but reading on the author was against it saying it would bring an end to all terrierwork, I was a bit shocked, I think Harcombe might look back on that and wish a license was brought in similar to France. I also read in the paper today a massive badger cull is in operation in England "again".
