Had them over 30 years, I'm on the other side of the world, and haven't used on rats, but have used on most other game I think they would be fantastic. got a litter atm 3 weeks old :-) https://imgur.com/a/7Iri0 https://imgur.com/a/9Wy3Y I was waiting for it to kick off when the lurcher ran in fair play to you you've obviously put a lot of work into getting her socialised. Use for wild pigs, and if you have a running dog that catches fox's but wont kill them, run one of these with it BYE BYE fox :-)http://dogs.petbreeds.com/stories/5470/fastest-dog-breeds#7-American-Pit-Bull-Terrier Anyone

  8. My 25 year old power beam, has heaps more spill, nowhere near the brightness or distance, and caught thousands of rabbits, etc. with it Just saying
  9. Used both, Led lights are very good too, for what I intend on doing (filming) the H.I.D worked better, the spill is manageable with a very minor mod but its not really a problem. It actually has advantages if used correctly, but each to their own, I have had no problem with spill
  10. If you don’t want to breed get 2 Jill’s and a medium sized hob and have them all fixed, they will live happily in one large, cage.It wont effect them at all, hob will smell less you will have all bases covered then :-)
  11. I only use Jills these days, I find I get less lay ups,and if a rabbits intention is to escape, they can still drag a Jill to the net, the down side is usually they have less stamina so you need to carry more ferrets (that being said Jill are lighter so it evens out almost) its horses for courses but that’s my opinion. both are friendly if well handled, I use a vasectomised hob to bring them out of season, if I want to breed a particular line I use a friends hob.
  12. Summer all year round here we dont have a season, they breed all year round
  13. There are a few educational videos on puppy retrieve that can give you an idea on how to perfect the retrieve. Try watching them all, sometimes what works with most dogs won't work on a particular dog because of a trait etc., you can never have too much knowledge, I over 50 been running dogs my whole life, and still learning here is an e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t46VIUb_Au8
  14. A New Bit Of Kit My 20 year old light was starting to rust, so after extensive research I decided on the Lightforce Enforcer 170 H.I.D. Walkabout Kit Just got to wait for Zip, (now 6mths old) to mature enough to start her in the light.

  16. Good to get out. Took the brown bitch (give her a break from the pups, She was so happy) & the pup out, not many photos too busy talking. Tally was 6 https://imgur.com/a/L9OAj#rOUNHPP

  18. Done a ton of research on lights in the last 12 months, my old 20 year old power beam, is starting to rust inside on the reflector. The Lightforce Enforcer 50w HID with led handy light is my choice, no problem spotting eyes at all. If you cant see red eyes with this light bye glasses
  19. Very popular dog in Australia I have seen many in action and owned a couple, mainly used for pigs, fox’s, roos, but are still handy over the nets & in the light a good all-rounder that’s for sure, but do your research on how much bull to grey you need for your type of hunting. Speed v brawn. PS make sure you well socialise from a young age. ATB
