    Here's hoping. I spoke to the neighbours. both Des and the property owner said they will ring me if she shows up. My guess is a snake, hope I'm wrong the last one I lost a 6ft Brown snake charged out of the burrow the ferret didn't.

    Yeah mate looks can be deceiving. The rabbits dig after a wet patch then the sun bakes it again, when I go back ill get the shovel out of the car, and show you how to pogo with a plumbers shovel , Ill post it here.Cheers

    Hey guys spent the last couple of days ferreting, with mostly highs and a heartfelt low. I havent lost a ferret in over 15 years so Ive been pretty lucky, but yesterday that streak came to an end. After a pretty successful day and a half we entered 4 ferrets into a blackberry bush along a fence that was about 150m long and I would estimate over 100 holes, three returned and after a 4 hour wait and trying numerous tactics to try and retrieve her, Bella was a no show. I am very fond of all our ferrets but she was one of my favourites she was also one of my daughters ferrets. In Australia we cant

    Normally go out on my own or with family, or close friends but you are welcome to tag along. I do most of my ferreting within a hour of Werribee mostly on this side of town and always with permission PS NO guns.

    Oh he is handsome. I'm a bit stuck in the middle at the moment, whippet is to old pup to young and my brown bitch is ready to give birth any day, she is 3 years old having her first and only litter, will get her fixed after that, sire is a line bred same type, with a great nature, had them for years and know how to train them. She is my marking dog trust her marks 100%. she does get a few in the light when she is fit and ok for the longnets. I will hardly put a net down later :-) lot of fox's here too can not wait to start lamping again. anyway Cheers mate

    Heading out to one of my other permissions tomorrow. Just thought I would share some photos of this beautiful spot. It's on 300 acres and the rabbits are in abundance. I cant wait until the pup is 12 months old and start her lamping here, I also have permission on most of his neighbours. Des rang me this morning and asked if I would come out on Saturday, I said sure mate, Ill bring my Daughter and her ferrets as well, see ya then. So a busy couple of days. weather forecast is fantastic. Life is good!

Yea he is gone mate loves it Des just rang me 5 min's ago asked if I would come out on Saturday I checked the weather looks fantastic, Should be a good day, Daughter is bringing her ferrets as well. going out to another property tomorrow he has hundreds running on his place 300 acres beautiful place you have seen some pics in Marking page 3. Ill take the camera SAT get some more footage going onto his Neighbours too :-)

    I get my share of the hard stuff, it is nice to be able to pick and choose.I have been blessed lately with some fantastic permissions. got to the stage now I cant take any more on. Ive always said if I get rabbits its a bonus, just love getting out.
