  1. I'd say the average lurcherman ( me included) don't know the people or where to look. Importing semen would be easier to find off a ch dog abroad then finding a dog of the same calibre in the uk but will be alot more expensive but if i were breeding a first x bull that's the way I'd go
  2. You can get a bit of frozen arry from over seas from a real bulldog for a few grand
  3. I suppose with the generation bred half xs you can select for traits which might not always happen in a first x litter like longer length of leg ect
  4. Haha mines a bag a shit lol, most said they won't be up to it poor stamina, out of a untested grey bla bla bla but for dogs that are just 12 month old they all done OK so far
  5. Not many hares nor deer round here mate but they can catch hares not coursing dogs tho, for foxs and Rabbits they are well suited to what I do
  6. About a year ago before I got the bitch I have now I was looking for a pup, anyway a litter of collie bull grey pups were advertised on pets4homes and look alright to be fair so I call the fella and ask about the pups what sire n same like ECT and is he breeding to keep one. To my surprise he stopped me in my tracks and said "Do you wanna buy a fkin dag or what" I laughed and put the phone down
  7. A quarter bred bull lurcher catch most things
  8. Maybe the coursing dogs that are x with greyhound do, but pure saluki do not have sprinters muscles because they aint
  9. Dogs bred to run long distances like the galgo and saluki seem to not have bulging muscles like sprinting dogs e.g. greyhound or whippets but more of a long leaner muscle like a marothon runner vs a sprinter
  10. There had to be one to prove me wrong haha looks a nice dog to be fair.
  11. So is it wrong to use apt xs aswell then? I need to get me morels straight... haha
  12. Fireman how is saluki blooded dogs cheating? Do you mean because they have more wind then one (or should do) that it is somewhat unfair to run them on hares?
  13. I think quite a few lads are still bang at it on the bigland, I think the galgos are good dogs but they ain't here or atleast not yet anyway.
  14. Ok then so what other breed would add more then the saluki to the coursing bred dogs of today who are regularly catching 3-5 a session on big land I can't think of any other type of lurcher that will do that and be able to do it consistently I know lurchers of all xs will catch hares but not in the same numbers the saluki xs can and I think most would agree.
  15. I like the saluki there is no doubting the coursi g bred dogs wouldn't be what they are without the saluki blood it's just that 90% of the ones in the Arab vids are barking curs
  16. Train them to pin it down? How's that then to me looks like they don't want to to get bit it to me in and out letting go everytime the badger faces them, but maybe I'm wrong.
  17. It's all on YouTube part 1 2 and 3 also from 12 months on both episodes
  18. I stand corrected thought it was only certain times of year e.g. a doe with kids
  19. GB your a lucky fecker to have them numbers
  20. Roe are mainly solitary I think you mean fallow
  21. Don't give her anything but rabbits until 14 months or so and remember a dog acts older then it actually is atb
