  1. I'd rather a dog too fast then just fast enough but that's just me
  2. No but they can turn well making a dog over shoot hence needing speed to get back on terms
  3. Scottish hare hunters dog has been put to a 5/8 3/8 bull bitch might be similar to what your after
  4. So because I wouldn't keep the dog means I'm going to dump it somewhere does it?
  5. Probably am chasing the holy grail mate. I need a dog that can catch fox's as well as dispatch hench going for a racey one instead of more bull. I'll test what I got this season coming an who knows maybe if she ain't upto it I'll try a dog more bull saturated if she can't do the job.
  6. Last pup I reared didn't want to know and a young dog a friend Lent me said no after 2 in a night. I haven't yet had a top dog which is what I'm after.
  7. Not many as the lurcher was a pup but I got a few in snares and a couple with the terrier n shotgun
  8. Quote where I said I would dump my dog? You sound like you been drinking too much. Stick to your deerhound X that won't look at anything that gives it back and be quite because now your making stuff up.
  9. Mate your talking shit there are MANY fox dogs that will take as much as you can show them and be just as keen for the next hardly a mythical standard. To me you seem the type of person that keeps a dog wether its a jacker or not which is fine but there are people who have dog for work if they don't they are PTS some wankers dump them but not me or many others. Also you think seem to think putting time into a dog is going to make the dog 100% percent on what you want and stop it jacking? F*ck knows where you got that one from
  10. No problem mate got a soft spot for an old dog that's as keen as the youngsters
  11. I'll give him a retirement home once he can't run no more he looks like he's been cracking dog
  12. No that's just my standard and I wouldn't keep a dog that wasn't upto what I want it for that wouldn't make sense would it? When you said " the miniscule amount of bull or all the greyhound blood" I took it that you were trying to say shes not upto it. Hence I offered you to come and make your own mind up. By the way she just under 1/4 bull so not that "miniscule" haha
  13. There was thread a few month back a lad wanting same as you but no one had them or at least they weren't for sale to anyone. If you don't mind spending abit of money why not try and breed your own?
  14. She's not yet been tested an has had half a dozen or so since 12 month upto now 15 month none were planned and all were in the day whilst walking. Shes had or so rabbits from lamping between 10 and 12 month then we stopped for the season. She will be tested this season coming properly and if she fails I will have no problem telling you so and start again. Gilbey what dogs do you run aslong as they ain't fen dogs we can see who's got what this season?
  15. Do you think the rough coat still hangs about because alot of the coursing dogs go back to the same early dogs basically line breeding keeping it with in the type
  16. But how many times have the those original coursing animals been put back to pure salukis and straight saluki Grey's I'm sure if you worked out the amount of beddy blood in them it would probably be less than a 1/16
  17. Yes mate I got mine off eBay was a b*****d to build as it came with no instructions
  18. I thought alot of the early saluki X's were saluki X lurcher rather then saluki grey so God knows what else is in there even though far far back.
  19. Nothing expensive mate it is just one off the internet but has held up well.
  20. I'd of thought it would be so diluted it wouldn't make a difference
  21. A chainsaw takes alot less effort than using a bowsaw I say
  22. If you end up with a chainsaw the breeding program was a success because you've got better than what you started with
  23. Don't see why people with a garden don't have them in chicken coop and runs rather than a ferret hutch I had mine in a standard size 3 X 2 but I hated seeing them pacing up and down when out of season so changed
  24. My two hobs are too busy bumming each other to be playing tag.
