    Why don't you book a session in a rabbit pen? Loads of pro gundog kennels that will let you use there pens and give you plenty of advice. Your profile says your in Shropshire give Rytex a ring always gave me good advice. Regards HL

    Davey go to Brennan animal feeds in Darlington, it's a warehouse until just off Borough Road. I used to get all my meat from there and he will deliver aswell. Always spot on for me but that was a number of years ago now since I moved from Darlo.

    Cheers for the replys. I have found a gundog trainer who taken him on trial so looks like he has got a good permanent home. Wish there was another way but the main thing is he has a good home. Regards Ben

    I am looking for someone to take my spaniel on a season long loan. I am currently living/working in brighton and where I am currently living I cant keep any dogs and I wont be able to afford anything else for atleast another 6 months. He is coming along well training wise just at the stage he need to be brought on to game... About right if you are wanting a beating dog but for rough shooting will probs need some time in a rabbit pen.. I would rather send him out on loan if the right person is interested... I wont just give him to anyone but if I cant find a suitable loan I will have to

    Most good agricultural stores will stock it mate....bout £12 to £15 notes for a 5 litre tin...lasts a helluva long time aswell Or you can order it off the net go on hyperdrug just type it on google go their website and you get it off there. Think they only do 1 litre bottles though...

    Allright mate, I am just about getting to this stage aswell I cant really give any advice because I know about as much as you on the subject. Allthough from what I have heard, read and watched you seem to be on the right track. I would say try and get a copy dave lissets Dvd set. Dvd number 3 covers all the aspects of getting your dog dropping to shot etc... The dvds are a pretty good mate explains everything properly and clearly well worth a watch. Regards Ben

    Lots of decent young lad digging these days the hard bit is getting the stock but if you stick at until you get a chance to prove your worth to the older experienced guys and have a sensible head on you then you are going in the right direction. Being a yound lad myself I have found it diffcult gaining trust but am keen as mustard so if that means I go out by myself everyweek and learn everything myself that will have to do me Regards Ben
