    my new harris

    well i have got him tonight his fat weight is 1lb 10 ounce, he is sat on the glove as i am typing this post up .he has only been out the aviary for about 2 hours now, he is real calm sat on the glove with the dogs walking past and the misses and kids too, so he aint doing to bad .the reason i got another male is because i ordered a female off the person but they both turned out to be males and its getting a bit late to get a female. so i will fly him along with my other male till i can get hold of a good female from good hunting parents. so if anybody knows of someone who still has got some y

  10. well i went yesterday and thought is was great and well organised .there was some great looking dogs there to and people were friendiy . there was a load of good banter and it was good to see some old faces again .well done penny and to all those who organised it. i realy enjoyed it thanks. regards wag

    harris hawk

    my male harris has just nailed my patterdale flying the harris in the garden and he went up on to the house roof and just droped off the roof on to him i run into the yard and he was hanging off his head with the pat screaming that will teach the pat to torment the harris in the weathering .

  16. yes Ian, it was a good night i very much enjoyed it there. a great family even tony`s son was fetching the rabbits he loved it, it was great stuff.
  17. hi, all just thought i would put a post up about last night, had the chance to go over to jaspers to do a spot of lamping with him for a few bunnies and also take a couple of pole cats over for him and the kids.arrived at 8.45pm had a chat and a cup of tea and a play with the ferrets then we decided to go lamping.also the kids wanted to come with us lamping so off we all went kids in back ,me and jasper in front.arrived at his permission and it was foggy but we carried on .just pulled down the first track rabbit in front of us out the window crack and it dropped.we went abit further shot a few

  24. hi, ive tried most of the calls over the years but the one i am having alot of success with at the moment is the U caller .its loud without an extension speaker. there is different calls, dog call ,vixen call ,rabbit ,hare, magpie, crows ,ducks ,geese and there is a new chip just come out another fox one and a deer one ,to like i say im having some good success with it at the mo with my dogs and rifle . but im shaw other people will have different ideas for you
  25. try riseholme college mate in lincolnshire i went there 17 years ago and i loved it. i had to travel 108 miles round trip a day because i was married and had two kids with one on the way but i stuck it out for 2 years and loved every day of it, you learn everything about gamekeepering , shoot management and forestry i got my ntcp chainsaw tickets all sorts of stuff , also dont worry about money there are grants out there for you to apply for and through the summer if you show willing and to be hard working they will find you placements on a shoot in the area.they also have there own shoot a
