    Hooked up with some men from Liverpool who let me tag along on a day out in Worcester. The same day spider killed the Border to ground .Me big J an monty were dropped off in the city centre with directions to a sewage farm. The biggest bloody nettles I've ever seen , at least 9ft. Come across a classic earth, bits of dead lying about an padded to hell. A black dog said no , so we tried spider. Two hours passed with no sign of the dog and no mark on the box. Ears to the ground we found the dog , sounded deep an still no reading on the box. I struck the first blow with the banjo. "

    It was mate. Ugly was a top russel work wise , but if there was ever a dog that deserved a name it was him !!!!!! Tilly only took two to Meath , Black and kizzy. Oz , was a fawn rough lurcher , or am I wrong.?

    Only wish I spent more time over there with Paccy an the crew but alas the terriers took me elsewhere.. Had some good craic over the years with the dogs, and have met some proper characters. An enough story's to fill a few hours. Back in the day , regarding terrier work anywhere a fox would go me an my mates would follow. And truly was a case of "He who dares wins" Though I'm Terriers to the core, we done a lot with lurchers. Haven't times changed!!!!! I still have a skulk in places I shouldn't be, just to "dare myself".

    No.... And if all working terrier judges took the same stance they would get bored not winning an f..k off back from whence they came. As for standards , I would only go by my standards to form my opinion it is a working show not kc.

    Of coarse looks come into it , how else can you form an opinion ? As stated it's a show not a test. Only when your eyes have witnessed the terrier at work , can you rightly Judge it.

    A working terrier show Is just "That" a show. Not a test of ability nor a scar competition. A working terrier show is a good place to catch up an have the craic. Some like some don't like . As for judging, of coarse it's a guess but I would sooner call it "opinion" and the right judge would have a more educated "opinion" .

    Not knocking shows or there concept, more to do with breeding terriers, .we have all seen the man or woman ,win a few get the bug ...smart terriers take over the kennel. Then lads get their pups for big money an take their chance. Untested lines bred just to win ribbons with no substance . But smart as hell. How many times have we heard, oh, I can't work em anymore because of the ban. Haven't got a clue why this would be ina bushing post.

These are the pretenders that are a danger to terrier lines old and new. I have my opinion , ...what about all of you ????????.     Well aware of the fact that people wind up an take the piss just for a laugh. And the sniping does come from all sides.... . In my short time on the Internet from threads I've read it only leads to Locked threads an ill feeling. .back in the day, Hunting an terrier an lurcher shows was the place to meet. We're men met eye to eye and bullshitters had less camaflage. An a man would check his tongue before he chatted shit , However this internetey thing seems to have moved the goal post.
