I personally would castrate them by hand with a pair of wire cutters and a rusty blade..then i'd pop them in a cell with a 6ft burly gay built like a brick shit house and let him have his way!

Wow..your dogs do that too...amazing the amount of dogs that do that... -
That looks like nettle rash to me, my PRT bitch gets this all the time as she is so hairless underneath, i put 1 tsp salt into cooled boiled water and just wash the area down, as long as the spots dont turn pussy it should be fine.

Put pineapple chunks cut up through your dog's food..once the pineapple passes through the dog's system it takes on a bitter horrible taste (almost as bad as earing sh1t i imagine!) and the dog should stop eating its own faeces..its rarely a sign of the dog missing something in its diet..its just a dirty habit.

This can often be cramping in the muscles that causes what i think you are describing, my old boy gets this, we find the best thing that works is a Diazepam 2mg tablet in the evening before he settles down..i dont think from watching him that its a painful thing...it just looks odd. The Vets couldnt tell me what was wrong with my dog either, i took him to a Reiki (ok..go on..laugh!) person and he told me what it was, it was explained to me like the dog has foot cramp in one or more limbs.

We are collecting him on Sunday, he will be 7w old.

The pup we are getting at the week-end is out of a Bedlington bitch at 16" and a Whippet dog at 21"..any ideas roughly what size you think the pup might make..he's male.

Drontal Plus is the best wormer out there, it will kill both tape and roundworm...effectively..the Drontal Plus single dose tablet covers dogs up to 10kg..for dog of 35kg and over there is now a Drontal XL single tablet. The rubbish that you can buy from Pet Shops contains mostly Piperazine as the active ingredient and will only kill a small percentage of any worms..and usually only roundworms..not tape too. Try an on line pet pharmacy, you should get them a bit cheaper off there rather than the Vet.

At last..something about Tony Blair that makes you laugh!

One of the best products on the market for arthritis/stiff dogs is Glycoflex..this is a mixture of Green Lipped Muscle, Chondroitin, Glucosamine, Vitamin C and Manganese..our Vizsla who is 7y old now has gubbed hips..she has displastic elbows and DJD..she is currently only on Glycoflex and manages fine. A Bioflow magnetic collar is something else that can really help stiff dogs..she also wears one of these 24/7. Bioflow collars are on a 90 day money back guarantee if they dont work. Dont buy Glycoflex from the Vet, try one of the on-line pet pharamacies like www.bestbetpharmacy.co.uk or you ca

THE DAYS OF A CLIP AROUND THE ARE LONG GONE YOUR LUCKY YOU NEVER ENDED UP IN COURT MATE .....JOHN Its a sad rality that, isnt it..as tempted as i have been many times..i have to see the one time that i broke that rule was when one little through a firework right beside the dogs, i had him up against a tree with my knee 'supporting' his crown jewels...if that boy ever gets it to work again or fathers children it will be nothing short of a miracle..i told him if i ever set eyes on him again EXACTLY in graphic detail where i'd shove a lit firework!

Aahh..ok..i know the Ratpack dogs..nice looking dogs. Its still funny to see PRTs with a tail..the ban here has not long been in effect. -
I think the problem comes from the fact that people dont understand/respect that a dog is an animal, people say to me at the surgery, 'oh, he'll be ok..' i never trust any dog that i dont own..i have been bitten badly 3 times..all by Golden Retrievers at work..owners generally do not understand what their dogs are capable of. I have 6 dogs and trust them implicitly, i know them inside out, but at the end of the day they are animals with unpredictable capabilities and i think you have to respect that. If people had half a brain they would understand this. In drives me crazy at gamefairs etc whe

I was thinking about this and wonder if it could be hormone related, this shows itself as bilateral hair loss in some dogs. HORMONE RELATED DISEASES WITH HAIR LOSS - Cortisone excess: Symmetric hair loss over trunk and body. Abdomen is pot-bellied and pendulous. Seen with Cushing's syndrome. In some cases the dog is taking steroids. Growth hormone-responsive alopecia: Bilaterally symmetric hair loss. Begins around puberty. Breed specific involvement. Hyperestrogenism (Estrogen excess): Occurs in females and males. Bilateral symmetric hair loss in perineum and around genit

Poor kid. I see families coming in who tell me that their dog is so wonderful with their kids, they kids can ride on him, pull his ears/tails etc..but surely there should be respect from the kids to the dogs as well as the other way around. My kids have been brought up from the day they were born with dogs, they were told to be gentle from the time they were tiny, not to touch the dogs when they were sleeping or in their bedsor when eating etc..surely this is just common sense?

I saw a litter of Collies recently that had enormous heads, fused front legs or back legs and some had exposed insides...awful..some were born dead, but others were still alive. This is the second time the owner has had 'freak' births and she is adamant that it has something to do with what is sprayed on the fields that border her house. Poor things. Bizarely in this same area, we have seen some very odd kittens too.

We were on holiday up North and could we get any peace from other peoples' badly behaved kids who were constantly at the dogs all the time..we even came out of the van to find a little boy IN our awning..yet when we asked the parents to keep him away she replied 'oh, he's only playing..' One little girl ran up to us, went down on her knees and hugged one of the dogs..thank God they are all used to children and friendly. We euthanase so many dogs every year for biting, and i have to say in most cases i think one day the dog has just had enough, some kids can be evil little . Sadly the dog is

I hope you and she can get to the bottom of this soon.

Skin problems are VERY difficult to diagnose if there is no mite problem there, although you arent seeing anything and there is no redness/pussy discharge, i would still have this ruled out by having a scrape done..once beasties are ruled out, then moving onto the next level of investigation is the best way ahead. Is she insured by any chance?

Hmmmm..there are various things that spring to mind..top of my list of suspicions would be Cheyletiella mites are often called "walking dandruff". On close observation of an infested dog, cat, or rabbit, it may be possible to see movement of the dandruff on the skin. The movement is caused by the mites motoring around under the scales. . They generally do not cause significant disease. What is the life cycle of Cheyletiella mites and how are they transmitted? The details of the life cycle of Cheyletiella mites are not known, but presumably the life cycle is completed on one host. The
