Looking for a Deerhound x or Beardie Collie x,Lurcher pup.
redmoor replied to Bountyman_90's topic in Optics and Night Vision
There were Deerhound x pups in the Press and Journal..i think they were in the Aberdeenshire area..not sure where you are though. There were also Deerhound x Greyhound pups in Ad Trader online last week - but i cant remember where they were located. Hope you find what you're looking for. -
I've seen a Poodle x Whippet..amazing little dog it was, it was retrieving alongwith Labs/Springers etc on a shoot..it was as fast as anything and very disciplined...i guess it would be a Whoodle!!!

I've no idea why tea works so well, but it does! I usually pop the tea bag in boiling water, let it soak a while then either use the tea bag carefully to douse the eye, or soak some cotton wool in the cooled tea.

I had the same last week-end when a GSP bitch grabbed my PRT right over the back of her neck, Holly snapped back to defend herself and shot back to me, the woman clapped her GSP and said 'bloody terriers..they are all the same..' None of my dogs EVER go out to pick a fight, they arent hugely interested in other dogs at all, yet the amount of times they get nailed by something..drives me blinking nuts.

Hi, trying a DAP spray may work (Dog Appeasing Pheremone) available on-line from pet shops, it comes in a spray form to be used on bedding or as a plug-in..the spray is better in my opinion..its great stuff for calming dogs down and chilling them out..it is basically the scent that a mother gives her pups when they are very young.

I never ceased to be amazed at the amount of people who walk unsafe dogs off the lead and then go into a blind panic when you come around the corner with your dogs..of course they always tend to say the same thing 'oh..he's never done that before..' We had a Westie brought in that was literally torn apart by 2 Labradors that were un-muzzled, despite having done this several times before and they each took an end of the Westie..poor wee soul was covered in bite wounds.

I have had this problem before, and after one of the dogs scored the roof of its mouth i now no longer give them rabbit, their bones can be very brittle after freezing..i guess the only option would be just to feed the flesh? Bet that hurt too..oucheee.

Give the eye a good flush out, a cool tea bag is as good as anything. You have to be careful incase there is a scratch/jag to the cornea, this can cause a gunky eye..Fucithalmic if you can get it from the Vet will clear this up in no time.

This is my 4y old PRT bitch, she is solid muscle, there isnt an ounce of fat on her..she is a nightmare to feed as no matter how much i give her she just burns it all off..she resembles a twiglet if she is on rabbits for more than a few times a week! You start to get an eye for how your dog should look, like us there should be a well-defined waist line and good muscle, your pup is still young and given time and hormones alongwith the correct feeding he will be fine.

I never weigh my dogs or their food, i feed to effect..as someone else said your eyes/hands are your best indication. I find that by upping/decreasing their food slightly i can make a difference to their weight either way within a week to 10 days. Nice pup.

Stupid people who take on breeds that they have no understanding of..i saw a couple last night who took on a JRT pup and came in for behavioural advice because it tries to 'kill' their kids' toys and shock of all shocks..it digs.. She was a complete ditz who was more worried about damaging her nails than much else, chose the pup as she 'liked the colours' ..they had no understanding whatsoever of what a terrier was bred to do or the fact it needed much exercise etc..they also wanted to know if 'squirting' him with water would stop him 'marking' indoors..the pup is 11w old FFS...God..give me

Cheers guys. Baccus..of course i'm doing everything in accordance with the Bill.. Nice looking Beddy you have there..how old is he/she..what size? The pups mother is a Liver Bedlington..16" and the father is a tan/white Whippet - 21"..what sort of size do you reckon the wee man will grow to? Foxyforce - good luck with your new bird mate, i'll let you know how the pup comes on...there is 1 left..all by its lonesome when mine leaves..not interested...its only Carlisle....

A rural Fox in all its beauty on a cold hard frosty day..followed by the Otter.

Some people, eh? I had to see a couple the other day who bought 2 JRT pups..both male..now 9m old and tearing lumps out of each other, apparently she wanted 2 'cuddly' pups who would sit on her lap and she bought the two pups as she 'liked their colours' She had NO idea what JRTs were like, the breeder must have been laughing all the way to the bank as she paid £600 for the two..she looked completely blank when i explained that Terriers are used for working and have high energy needs..neither of the pups have EVER been off the lead..I despair sometimes.. We end up destroying young dogs who

Good count, she was responsible for a fair few birds being put up that day, apparently the numbers arent as healthy as previous years though.

Yup..definitely a Vet job..we have removed soo many grass seeds from ears this year, and from paws, they can make a real mess if they migrate up the leg through the webbing in the toes..horrible things.

Sorry! I presumed it was an otter...
-
Nice looking dogs, although pretty sad that you'd let your dog take an otter.
-
Nice pup..what mix is he/she..and what size?
-
Cracking looking dog..the pups in CMW are all sold.
-
Lovely looking dog Bobo..didnt get anywhere with the number in Ireland, but wondered if you could get me a telephone number for the guy in Stonehouse who breeds the Beddy x? Even if he doesnt have a litter right now, maybe i could put my name down for a later mating.
