I've a friend that rolls his car of his front drive because he reckons it saves him on petrol every week. Do you know any people that are tight and storys of tight fistedness?
  11. I would listen to what hedz is saying it's sound advice , and to answer the question I don't think there is such a thing as a dave platt patterdale or fell or call them what you like. Unless Dave platt is selling black terriers and selling them as his own line lol!!
  12. My mothers mutton broth on a cold winters day
  13. Would I pay £500 for a working dog, yes I would. Would I sell one of mine that was doing the job for £500 the answer would be no! I suppose it all depends on how you value your sport.
  14. They do look very small , I know size doesn't mean much but I do like a strong pup . I can see why you're having doubts , are the parents working earth dogs?
  15. My first dig was on a railway embankment with my father and our jrt. On a Sunday my father would get up and take his terrier out and check the local earths. We had a shallow dig to a dog fox. Then after he would always go to the pub and then home for he's Sunday roast. After that day I was hooked, oh I was ten years old at the time!
  16. I think it's just because weve had a mild winter so far. Last year I had a dig in early sept, this year we've had 29 degree heat in October . I dont think there's many more laying under sheds than any other year .
