Well that's a first bitching about another section that's got a lot of bitching on it lol ? only joking ! Every section has got it crabbers some more than others . Recently I ventured into the catapult section and found the it very helpful with hardly any egos on there.

unfortunately there's very few men that haven't at one time bitched about someone's gear be dogs or fowl ! I suppose there's bitching in everything/every sport there's always going be fierce competition and were there's competition to create the best stock there's going to be bitching....and lots of it......although every now and again you'll get a man/woman who is willing to share there wealth of knowledge .......(but not there secrets) nothing wrong with competition like you said it makes people strive for better things but crabbing someone's gear goes on to much jmho

Right this is my fathers method he had a lot of success for many many years with gamefowl and dogs .This mightn't be to everybody's to everybody's style so don't crucify me if you think its wrong ! Here goes firstly he said , you must be honest as you'll only be lying to yourself . Also you must be prepared to cull heavily not tolerating any imperfection or fault . So as to breeding, a dog an bitch both from lines of workers then breed from that mating sire to daughter and son to dam. If were truthful we're all guilty of using the " looks" of a terrier in our judgements and for me this can be a massive mistake ! The reason I think it can be a mistake is , everyone has different opinions on what a dog should "look" like you only have to go to a show to realise its just one mans opinion ! Yet were all agreed to a certain degree what a good worker should "work" like ! How many times I've heard men that want to breed a litter say " nah head to small to long in the barrel or legs not straight enough " when the dog should be judged on working ability not its looks/conformation
