lol like said I understand where he's coming from now . Although I have to disagree with you as I can't see where the breed of a dog is irrelevant when breeding cross breeds , and has surely got to be one of the most relevant things to consider when doing any mating !

I suppose the point I was trying to make was , that with two types of terrier that are so similar such and the fell and the Beddy that you're not really bringing that much new to the mix. I mean I can understand people crossing two different breeds that one might add something that the other lacked . Like a cocker x terrier or a whippet x terrier or whatever cross it just struck me as pointless when either one pure could do the job of the cross. Although I can understand now that the best dog at bushing was a Beddy that you could use , so I get where your coming from now lol .

I've seen a similar course so I can believe it . Until I see a dog that can jump a 7ft fence while on a course, I will be sceptical to say the least. Granted there are dogs that can jump over 7 ft. but while on a course? That I would like to see. TC fair play I can see what your saying ! like I said though I've seen a similar course . My brothers dog ran a hare into a farm yard around the barn and some machinery then out into a horse paddock . The hare tried to loose the dog by threadling itself through the fencing and lastly through a five bar gate only for the dog to clear the fence

One of my earliest memory's is waking up in the front seat of my father car all on my own . I looked out the window and could see my father not far away jogging across the field with hes old rough coated lurcher when a hare jump out of the stubble and him slipping Dutch . Dutch caught the hare my father got back in the car and said " did you see that son ? " I was four lol after that ?" When I think back there's loads of story's I could tell but I'll save them for another day !

honestly I've never known it to be a romantic gypsy fair that's all for people that read books . Maybe once a long time ago travellers would stop talk with old friends have a trade eat and drink well and a good time and some still do but like you said a few spoil it for the many .
