  1. First small feed of Runners. Have to have a good look later sed if I can scrounge up a few more. Cheers Arry
  2. Just a little thing on Cucumbers if any body is interested. I have had trouble with Powdery Mildew at times, white sort of fluffy spots on the leaves. I use a home made spray of Baking powder 1 Table spoon to 1 gallon of water. Well as I don't want a gallon kicking around I mix 3/8ths of a Tea spoon of Baking Powder to 1 pint. this seems to keep it at bay. I spay about once a week. I also have read mixing milk with water at 1 part milk to 10 parts water works but I have not tried that myself. Hope this might help. Cheers Arry
  3. If you let just one cucumber get big on a plant it may stop producing. Its sort of the plant thinks it done its job by producing seed if you get my drift. Cheers Arry
  4. Hi Jock. Cucumbers I take male flowers off before they open and the little side shoots buds. Courgettes I have grown them in the past I but I just left them to get on with it but I don't know if that the right thing to do. I think Charts grows Courgettes I'm sure he will know. Cheers Arry

  10. You're right Jok I really like Jazzy as a second early. It has a lovely taste and keeps really well in facted I managed to keep my own seed this year. Cheers Arry

  20. Lately i've been buying large Chickens then cutting them in half and freezing the other half as theres only two of us. Cheers Arry
  21. I dissolve 3/8 of a tea spoon of Epsom salt in a pint of water and spray that on the tomato plants especially if I see the leafs getting a bit of yellowing on them. Cheers Arry
