  1. Agree killing cubs is a waste, but when there a problem, it needs doing.. They just cause hassle with the chucks don't they, they've been at it all over, can't blame them, chickens well tasty, beats a bin bag...
  2. Quality, might get the border over there for 1/2 hour, get a milkshake after
  3. One entry hole and baited at the back with grain...so it has to pass over the trap..
  4. Nice one Butler, blasted things hammer chickens this time of year with so many young cubs about...
  5. These are cheap and do the job well.. If anyone doesn't want to splash out too much http://tinyurl.com/lwm58t
  6. Turn the ground over using a spade to collapse the existing tunnels, then just pad down... As you already have a food source, they want that, thats what there feeding on, use a blind tunnel and place them away against a fence or wall and bait them using the grain.... Ensure the trap is bedded into the ground slightly so its stable, set nice and light..
  7. Crimp the nut using a hammer or vice, set as required..
  8. Got various magnification models of these scopes in the mildot spec, pm for a price if your interested... http://www.deben.com/optics/riflescopes/sidewinder30.php
  9. Use a needle file, then finish off with a stone, or use a bladetech there ok..
  10. You will find the people who think they know everything, basically don't, there heads too far up their own arses...Just ignore them, theres nothing more you can do, you will never change there mind or opinion... As for idiots, the worlds full of them, take a look at youtube the videos and the comments, the pathetic spelling, the venomous shite that gets spouted by the imbeciles on the net... The hunting game is full of, mines bigger and better, etc like everything else... What do you do about it ?????
  11. Anyone seen this movie, was going to watch it as I've got it here, might stick it on tommorrow night, probably not true to life, but will beat the rest of the tripe on tv, all that big brother shit.. http://www.ipexview.com/solution/videos/Na...ast_Trapper/79/
  12. Hes doing well for 75, happy birthday old un
  13. Top notch, you will need to give me some tips
  14. Nice gun tracey get an eric brookes trigger kit in it, only about £12 or something, see here http://cz452.com/.. I'd of went for the american not the varmint, I've got both, and personally the american is lighter and easier handling, might of suited the youngun better, the varmint has a heavier barrel and stock.. both shoot the same though, but get the trigger kit, really does improve the gun..
  15. Wheres this going? Not like the rest of them I hope?
  16. I think I'll agree to disagree... Whats the point in starting name calling people, don't go down that route lads, it starts to get tit for tat.. Seriously we all have our own opinions, and from experience, I could go out with a decent lurcher cover a lot of land and get 100 if the dog was capable but the fact is, I'd be covering a large area, I'd scare a lot more than I killed, missed ones and others would sharp become lamp shy after a couple of weeks.. Its just too inefficient but great fun, the best really... Your never going to beat snares/traps/nets or shooting for getting rid of animals,
  17. Smudge probably the best countryside/landscape photos I've seen... Top notch
  18. what a funny statement.... I actually prefer going out hunting with dogs than anything else, but its just not efficient, thick hedgerows and woodland its difficult, also lamping its all too easy to make a small area very lampshy...
  19. Bodygrips are good aint they chalkie, fook lurchers there great fun, but no way a serious method of removing numbers... Shooting, Traps and Snares, thats the way, and night vision on specific spots is also deadly...
  20. There molting their coats, ready for a winter coat...

Couple of month ago the owners of the Inchconnachan Island at loch lomond, were suggesting a cull, just to manage the population, as they were affecting native birds on the island, especially the capercaillie supposedly..?? http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/editors-...86908-21419099/
  22. Might pop over and have a shifty
  23. PM Woodga on the site, he makes good quality snares...
  24. Hope you mend up well quickly martin... Get that fresh woodland air into your lungs, you will be fighting fit before you know it
  25. Its recommended you snare away from any form of entanglement that being fences, branches, anything a snare can wrap around, but thats not always practical, its also recommended you use a swivel to aid movement and comfort, but on a fence a swivel is pointless.. On runs and trails set the snares 10" to the bottom of the noose loop, you obviously have room for slight error in your height with the vertical height of the loop, give or take a couple of inch, ensure you have a deer stop set also, especially on woodland trails... Ensure you have permission from the landowner and have means to humanel
