Fair. I didn't know that. Something wrong throughout Europe then. In Germany when kids are separated as being either academic or technical in their abilities, there isn't the feeling that academia is so superior to technical. Manual trades are treated with more respect. I've spoken to many guys from truckers to brickies who say they are treated much better in Germany.

Hulk Hogan kicks the bucket, page after page from you lot, Oh no, I'm gutted , Ozzy kicks the bucket, oh no, I'm gutted from you lot, Now then Donald rose dies, f**k all from you lot, Marches growing in numbers, eh, wouldn't be any need for marches if WE, hadn't let boatloads of foreigners enter and welcomed by us Brits, Hey up, what's that I see, more boatloads one in one out my arris
-
I’ll be over in December , Francie, one of the days out will be with Gunter, I’ll let you know nearer the time, maybe meet up ? Cheers.
-
Gunter has already offered me out with him this season mate,if your popping over with the white death, would be great craic
-
He did .he got a bitch if I remember rightly called Darla. that was the parents of the red dog
-
Most of Europe imports builders and carers and Germany's care system is built on imported labour.
-
Trouble is, who's going to work for day rate in today's climate?
-
I thought it might have been one of those brother-sister mating they did. I thought Wilf got one. Cheers.
-
No, all I see is odd shaped cob hosses that don't look like they can catch a cold and if they did, wouldn't be able to fight it.
-
No It was a funny breeding , unrelated to miks stuff in any way
-
We should value our building workers more. They do in Germany and other countries. We should value our carers more as well. There's something wrong that we have to import workers in those key sectors.
-
Was that out of or related to Micks dog ? Cheers.
-
It’s still 1986 out west mate . It’s a part of the uk that’s never evolved lol
-
Me and @mC HULLhad this conversation not long ago , you don’t see many of those grey hounds with bull terrier head types anymore
-
If the main contractors insisted on an apprenticeship per brickie gang then everyone is on the same deal...
-
Been to both and was asked to judge Flimby and did. I was at the Roman Wall show a few weeks ago and met up with a few of lads from the Flimby Club. There was three lads you probably know who had a pick up full of hairy foxing dogs from Whitehaven, rough looking bunch…..the dogs AND the lads ! LOL ! Cheers.
-
They were night and day different to many of the excuses of dogs you see today that couldn't catch a cold, more typey, even the monsters had the grace of a thoroughbred. I see very few bull crosses today that I think "I'd love to own that dog."
-
Apprenticeship system works for companies , obviously not gonna work for a subby on price, but if they want to build the house numbers they are talking about then they'll need to train up youngsters. Apprentices provide cheap labour , and will in time fill some of the skill shortages . Building industry seems far more reliant on foreign labour than engineering and tbh engineering in certain sectors has gone all in on recruiting apprentices.
-
Im Sure wilf won’t mind me sharing this . he was a big old powerful dog like
-
I ain't seen a lot a the dogs up your way mate I get messed up joe Ox or big Ron have them red uns I'd love to see them on look capable and right mix with the bull in there you could have some serious dogs
-
I was at it late 90s with loads a them types mate All needed babying if I'm lamping it's there I'm slipping I don't need to be waiting on a dog to get ready missing a run because the things got 3 runs in it max and I can see it's bar flashing lol we been out since 10 it's 11 now let's get home and if you want a few hour the cars packed with dogs lol
-
I think the apprentice system is all wrong. My brother is a bricklayer and on price, on what planet would he put in the time and effort to babysit a young stranger when time is money? I imagine it's not the only trade with those sorts of problems.
-
I'm the same I don't fox now but I keep eye out nice un open land I can't help my self but he's a big strong dominant dog I'll grass 3 and alot more when gunter comes One run his be flaked out needing a drip if it doesn't just stop go back to him like them other Irish dogs did lol I've heard wilf mention his dogs can't remember seeing them
-
I’ve seen bull x trying to bury foxes into the ground mate . and that was just scrappy mean red flyers from out west Cumbria with no fancy names I don’t know about that , crab fair or flimby show would have dogs for days that could turn their hands to most stuff
-
Nah, I can imagine, I didn't mean in an educational environment, I certainly couldn't deal with a behaviour unit. I did a career day in the kids primary school and found that difficult public speaking isn't my forte, thankfully the bits and pieces I brought in drew questions for me to answer and I tried to give a brief insight into the trade. I only meant in the form of an apprentice and then they'd have to have a good work ethic or they'd be gone, so isn't most likely ....well done on giving those kids a shot sometimes it can just give them an option they'd never have thought of on their own.
