ChrisJones 7,973
Unfortunately, that is a click-bait headline. There isn't a tool that allows you to block them. However, the British government has unveiled a tool that can accurately detect jihadist content and render it unviewable. The Home Secretary has said that system will automatically detect extremist material and flag it for human decision. The tool is being touted as a legitimate way of restricting content as 'thousands of hours of ISIS material was run past the tool to "train" it.' Of course, they don't tell you that once this system is put in place it can be used legally to search and flag any content that they see fit to censor on their collective whim. Porn? News? THL? It's an attack on your rights to a free and open internet. Looking at @ginger beard's thread, earlier though, that might be the nannying that some people want? Thoughts?

Blackbriar 8,568
As you say, Chris, my issue is who decides what is "extremist", and what will they be open about what criteria they use to decide ? The answer to the last part is probably "no"........

Born Hunter 17,638
My thoughts are 99% of people will support this as "common sense to protect us" and call anyone like me who see's it as 'the beginning' a "stupid terrorist sympathiser". My thoughts tend to remain thoughts, because most folks don't get it. 4

It's nothing more than an attack on content and the freedom to view such. 2

scothunter 12,609
There lots of decisions made for me that I don't agree with. Need to wait and see how it is rolled out before I can give a proper opinion.
