IanB 0
Well we have had muggy weather conditions all day, decided to chance it and go for a lamp on some land, phoned peter up and the part time keeper came with us also, what a bloke, hes like a lurcher running down the beam to retreive the rabbits...Legend at 67 years old.. We took over a 100 rabbits with the rimmy, we lost a few down hedges & holes, straight to dealer in morning...I've already taken over a 100 from one area using snares on here, so a couple more sessions and we should have things vastly reduced... Strong Stuff 2,171
Bloody hell! That's some night out. Bet your Landy smells delightful today, shame the screen isn't scratch and sniff ......... Serious question, I've never been out lamping with a proper rifle, how many shots can you get off from one position before the rabbits realise it's a massacre? Quote Link to post

IanB 0
Bloody hell! That's some night out. Bet your Landy smells delightful today, shame the screen isn't scratch and sniff ......... Serious question, I've never been out lamping with a proper rifle, how many shots can you get off from one position before the rabbits realise it's a massacre? Its always stinking mate, the blood curdles under the rubber mat and if I forget to clean it, yuck after a few weeks ... About the shots, depends on weather conditions and if the rabbits have been lamped a lot, they can become quite skitty... I'd need a semi auto for peter, 2/10 hit ratio, ask him what a scoinsy is Quote Link to post

IanB 0
Ha millet you wouldn't know if I'm a good shot, never able to get you out, like getting blood out of a stone... plus you always have a shiny tinny object welded to your shooting hand Messer Tell you the truth the place hadn't been lamped much, still plenty for next time though... Peter done the shooting, scoinsy shots in abundance Quote Link to post
