Matt 160
Without getting into the rights and wrongs of poaching, some of those replies are out of order. I happen to know who Mr KingQuad is, and if he is on here, I hope he reads this thread. I've taken action to have this idiot removed from the Guild of British Molecatchers. People like that give proper molecatchers a bad name. Be sure your sins will find you out...........................................
Guest WILF
I have not looked at the farmers forum thing, but to make fun of the death of a lad is obviously very very wrong. Now, just to play devils advocate here, why are these lads driving around a blokes fiels (and crop) in a fecking van? What would most folk think if some c**t came and drove all over your garden? I have dogs, but to be honest I am very fussy who I will walk out with.........there are way to many fecking idiots in this job who just dont give a feck about nothing and no one. I am lucky in so much as I have vast permission across a few countys of England, but I can tell you this, if I was WALKING onto a place I shouldnt be, no fecker would ever know I had been there and I would only be looking for my game not for what I could steal. Nothing would be left laying dead in the fields, it would be like I wasnt even there..........IMHO, if a lot more dog lads acted like this then these things wouldnt happen. csme55ex 2
that is just down the road from me, , i got told that they were after deer with dogs and rifles when they fliped there truck doing 100mph because of a ditch in front of them, apparntly the driver died at the scene, one man ran away and one was taken to hospital, which died a couple of day later, , when the police arrived there was no guns on the scene. i was in a field the other day driving with the dog out the motor....exactly the same thing happened but i stopped in time......it was like a trench dug through the middle of the field but you couldn't see it until you got close.....i wernt going fast enough as the dog was boxing....it wernt the fen so unusual this was in oxford..... might be arckies looking 4 gold lol
droid 11
might be arckies looking 4 gold lol Archaeologists will tape off trenches and backfill when they're recorded. And on a side issue: farmers' fields are there for crops/stock, not as a playground for hunters.
lurchers 2,998
i can understand were the farmers are coming from as they get so much stuff nicked off them so they will be on the defensive and i feel sorry for the kid who lost his life, this happened near me a few years ago whan a farmer blew a old blokes head off for taking a couple of rabbits which he had done for years on this land.at the end of the day you are poaching so you have to expect the unexpected these days because of people not giving a feck what they do and how they do it.deepest simpathoy for the lost ones.. Yep, about sums me up too. ....well apart from the 'vast permission across a few counties of England' bit, and being gay.
