Yokel Matt 918
I was asked to help a friend out with some rabbits that were causing a bit of havoc and creating some pretty big inroads into some pasture. It was not possible to shoot as the patch hedgerow bordered a busy road but it looked ideal for snaring. The hay had just been cut which made spotting the beats, to a layman like me, bloody hard but i got a few down along a 100 yards or so. The result wasn't bad but i probably would have got a more if i had set a little higher as i had a fair few frying pan misses. I also lost 6 to what i assume was a badger, the pic of the half eaten one was still warm and bleeding when i picked them up first thing. Quote Link to post

Yokel Matt 918
No probs. Old brock certainly put a fair bit away as the heads left in the wires indicated that they were all full grown. Quote Link to post
woodga 170
the picture of that half eaten rabbit looks the work of badgers but if only heads were in some of your wires you may have a fox working the snares as well good result for you though Quote Link to post

IanB 0
Just set a few snares myself, not many just on two small fencelines....... few fence snares and a few hoops, as I had them out with me and just used them like standard fence snares, rather than go back to the motor... Also set two fox snares, some wankers who tried to get lippy a couple of weeks back were out lamping same time as myself, and seemed to have some major problem, mentioned I had been reported to police and vehicle, pretendy game keepers ... I think i might be spoiling there fox shooting in the next couple of weeks, they definitely deserve a slap next time ours pathes cross, Squirrels everywhere too today, places you wouldn't even think they were about...traps out tommorrow..
