Jacket & Trousers

Recommended Posts

Evening All,

I am currently in the market for a new jacket & trousers for shooting but I am at a loss for which type of pattern to opt for because of the wide variation .

1. All purpose.

2. All purpose green.

3. Advantage timber.

4. Hardwoods green.

5. Realtree hardwoods.

I know a lot has to do with blending in with your surroundings but mine vary so much from place to place, open fields, hedgerows, treelines, riverbanks, industrial sites and quarries it's a nightmare. I am looking for something that will do the job for all areas ( if possible ) so I am after some advice from those who shoot in similar locations and that have found a pattern that is ideal and will do for most seasons ( a tall order I know ). Is there anyone out there who can pass on some good advice and possibly a web-site address or link so that I can take a look??. I am sure this type of question has been asked many times before but as we all have different tastes/opinions all replies would be greatly appreciated and I apologize if this is one of these "not again" questions.

Many thanks

Coney.

PS: Currently using DPM Field ( but fancy a change ).

I find DPM works just aswell as any of this realtree stuff, look at my avatar.

It's much cheaper than realtree. And works just as well. (I've used both, but sold my realtree outfit).

Get yourself a good facemask though. I wrap a scrim scarf round my face. Again, works just as well and you can get them in DPM.

You can get all this stuff off any army surplus website.

Hope this helps

My sentiments exactly! :clapper: If British Army DPM is good enough to help keep our sqauddies hidden from the view of the enemy, I'm sure it's good enough to hide you from a few coneys......:thumbs:
