s200 or lightning xl?

Recommended Posts

For me it would have to be the S200 you can fit a retro fit mag give you 10 shots. once fitted with a silencer there deadly quite. have shot loads of bunnys with mine, also a lot lighter than the springer. But then you still need to buy the charging gear.

I've shot springers for most of my life. Then I bought an S200. They're amazingly accurate and quiet, with a mod and mag kit fitted they're amazing. I sold mine because I wasn't using it enough, and now I wish I'd kept it. If you shoot regularly get the S200, from someone who's shot a lot with both

Edited to say PM me if you choose the Lightning, there may be one for sale!

My mate has a Logun Axor for sale for around £300ish. I'm not sure if that is with or without the bottle but I can find out for you. It's a lovely gun. PM me if you're interested.

Once you have shot a precharged air riffle you wont go back. I' ve shot precharged air riffles for a good three years now and their is no way i could EVER go back to a spinger. For me i want a match accurate accuracy, silent as a whisper, and with a decent multishot no hassle loading in the field. My advice would be not to f##k about and save up for a AA S410(second hand?). A friend of mine owns Bsa lighting XL, i couldn't beleave how loud it was!!! and how inaccurate it is(hence now he is selling it).At the end of the day if you want a gun for plinking or odd pigeon then they are not bad, but don't expect big bags in the field.I recently cleared a barn of its feral pigeons and shot 50 in about a hour with a AA s410 and the pigeons didn't have a clue what was going on, try doing that loading your noisy springer with a single pellet everytime NO THANKS. :big_boss:

hi mate, ive owned both these guns, both superb.. i got on very very with the s200 i went on shooting compation with it, enyways.. * i had the very first model.. which was about 7 years ago if im right.. NEVER EVER had 1 single problem with it.. there super accurate. nice weight.. and most of all they do the job superb. but on the other hand the XL is an amazing gun too.. funny enough im purchasing another one myself in the next fortnight .. its really down to you. but as for conveinence id pick the XL.. you've no pumping to do.. so if your goin for a night out, you can just pick up the gunbag and off you go.. they are a more 'rugged' gun too. can take a bit more of a bump.

but. value for money you wont get a better gun than a s200.. but mind over matter. .. id pick the XL every time..

good luck on picking the right one for you.. ATB
