Gathering abit of steam now. You know it’s starting to hurt the powers that be when they are mentioning getting the army involved. I think the general public openly supporting the protests it’s a bloody nose for the government hopefully they can stick at it. I might try get involved for a few hours tomoro it’s to be a bad day so won’t be too busy.

I think where the government were hoping it would die down after the few days it’s only getting stronger. Sending two tractors and a horse lorry to do their bit tomoro

A lot of the agricultural contractors and truckers that are protesting could be out of business in a few weeks because of the diesel price .  The simply feel they have no choice . I heard a agricultural contractor say that with the price of fuel at the minute, he would have to charge € 250 an acre for pit silage . Farmers don't have that kind of money. I suspect the Garda and army will remove them from the fuel depots to night . I am no fan of any of the Irish politicians , but the fact the have not lowered the fuel costs for the agricultural and transport sector, may be a indicator of bigger economic challenges in the weeks and months ahead .
