How is it worse ?

Saddam invaded Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

Saddam wanted to control the entire Middle East oil supply.

Saddam wanted to create a Muslim Caliphate stretching from North Africa to South East Asia.

Saddam fought a 10 year war against Iran .

You said we lost in Iraq and Afghanistan. We didn’t lose in Iraq, Afghan was a complete f**k up as every invasion for the past 200 years has been.

Cheers.

The A10 is a very underrated aircraft.
It has titanium body panels protecting the pilot that can withstand direct hits.
The engines are mounted high above the tail so they can be kept running while being “turned around “ during rearming and refuelling quickly,

Cheers.

Underrated! Everyone raves about it! :laugh:

There was outrage when the DoD said they were replacing the A10s with the F35 in the CAS role.

Talk to fast jet pilots, they see it as a subsonic workhorse compared to supersonic attack jets.

Its probably the best close air support platform there is.

I certainly don’t underrate .

I’ve never worked on one.

It’s a very specialised and dangerous job.

I’ve walked around them as I have a lot of aircraft that were based or passing through where I happened to be.

I spent a lot of time working with and socialising with many American pilots, both military and civilian, I’ve also had Saudi, Kuwaiti and UAE military pilots staying at my house here in the UK when they’ve been on training courses.

Im checked out,(or was, I haven’t done any recurrent training for many years), on a few types of aircraft, including these two, 747F and Md11F;

I don’t comment on these things lightly, my information usually comes from personal experience, of course that doesn’t make me infallible, I’m not the Pope, 😂👍.

Cheers.

You couldn’t get an opening that size in the side of a fuselage.

It can handle the biggest and longest pallets and containers . Also ease and speed of loading.

Cheers.

Inside that 747 is like a warehouse;

That’s me standing at the tail door,

And that’s just the main deck, there’s also a lower cargo deck and an upper deck fitted with kitchen facilities and sleeping quarters for when it’s double crewed on long haul flights.

Cheers.
