eastcoast 4,869
I read something recently, online news so may not be true, that some European countries are re-thinking their fossil fuel power plant policies due to the current situation. Plant that was scaled down or mothballed to comply with environmental policies. Apparently the UK cannot do this as we no longer have the existing infrastructure still in place unlike other countries. Something that I have said before, I do not believe that any other country in the world would just sit on the coal reserves that we have. Starmer cannot be blamed for that of course, Margaret Thatcher started it by playing the Green card in order to get middle class Labour voters on board with defeating the miners. But how many years have passed, how many Governments have ignored it. Rather than ignore this massive resource that we are standing on should they not have been investing in research and development to use this resource in a more environmentally "friendly" way? Some day some one will mine it. After we have emasculated our armed forces to such an extent that we can no longer defend ourselves and an aggressor will just come and take it.

Great post, with our coal, oil and natural gas supplies in the north sea, we should be a very wealthy nation, with free education system's for our native born children and peoples in general, imagine the massive change in the nations with the vast wealth that could generate, no more poverty, a special army making drug dealers disappear overnight, our industries booming again, a full reform of our nhs, and civil service, any corrupt politicians go with the drug dealers, its should be run by proper people for the people, but the retards in parliament dont want that
