Or is it a case of keeping your friends close and your enemy’s closer Blair is a very dangerous man even today pulling starmers strings from the backseat etc popping up with his opinions and advice in world matters and now he’s sat between Rubio and dons son in law I think it could be a clever move to encircle your enemy

Much of the Arab world are appalled at Blair having any responsibility in the Middle East.

They remember him lying to invade Iraq.

The Arabs are still very “tribal”; they will fight and even go to war with each other , but resent outsiders interfering, especially people they consider liars.

Cheers.

Hopefully he’s feeding him to the wolves but I’m sure there’s a reason ?

If most of these deserters and defectors have such awful records why are they being accepted by reform surely fresh faces that can be sold to the public as a fresh start hold a better chance of election than blow ins that have controversy following them wherever they go? Sure the voting public can see all that and would refuse to elect them again? I understand it’s a smaller playing field over here but by and large if you f**k up and it gets out you won’t be elected again.

I think Farages reasoning is he will need hundreds of MP’s and most of them will have absolutely no knowledge of parliamentary procedure, so having some that have been or still are MP’s will be a big help at the beginning of Reform win.

He may be playing a dangerous game, but the polling shows he seems to be getting it right; more people FOR getting the likes of Jenrick in, than are AGAINST it.

Im a bit dubious myself because I personally think Jenrick is an opportunist snake, but I think Farage is more politically savvy than me ! 😂👍

Cheers.

In my head I imagine three hundred and odd reform mp's with the same mindset as me. Can't happen, me ?, myself ?, I'd be removed from the house before my seat was warm. You've got to hope he's worked out a strategy with so many sneaky bstards in his cabinet with three hundred sane genuine reform back benchers who along with the country will hold them to account. Once they as a party get some political experience then they can ditch the turncoats.

Yeah nothing trumps experience I suppose. But I think the polls and stuff are for Farage he’s the popular one. Some of the turncoats could fall flat on there faces nobody likes a snake and most see through them. But maybe I’m looking at it wrong I’m only on the outside looking in really just forming opinions as I see it without many facts 🤣

Exactly! It’s only opinions, I will vote Reform for the very simple reason I can’t see a viable alternative.

I hope they win because the only alternative would be disastrous for the country( another Labour government ?  A coalition of the LibDems/ Greens/SNP ?

Farage may not be able to get through Parliament everything he promises, not least because the Lords, where Reform has no Peers , and the Civil Service and Establishment will fight him all the way , but he has got to be a better bet than the alternatives.

Im 73, owe nothing to anyone, reasonably comfortable, so I won’t be too seriously affected whoever is in government, but I’ve got a grandson who I worry what sort of country he will inherit 👍

I’m not quite 73 but it’s fast approaching and in the last 4/5 years I’ve started to think the same as yourself. Looking at the next generations wondering how I can leave them as comfortable and insulated from the shit as I can. I spent a lot of my life in the UK and have some interests there so I try and follow the goings on as best I can but it’s the same there more less as it has become in Ireland. Two political party’s sharing power for the last 100 years swiftly running out of road with one disaster after the next and people just want change. Nobody really knows if the change will be better or worse than things already are but they are willing to give it a shot.
