Rupert Lowe

Lots of Facebook comments asking me about Reform after Farage attacked me earlier this week, so here's my honest take. It's very easy to forget that if Yusuf and Farage had their way, I would be in prison. Not cast aside in Westminster, as some rogue independent. I would be IN PRISON. Away from my family, possibly for years. Maybe even worse, considering the state of our prisons with the Muslim gangs in charge. Given my outspoken views, I could be dead, that is no exaggeration.

Reform tried to put me in prison on false allegations. Why did Farage hate me so much? I angered him because I backed mass deportations, spoke too firmly on other subjects and made it clear that Britain needed a real plan for Government. I tried to resolve it behind closed doors, I was mocked and insulted. Then they tried ruin my life. They even spread rumours in the media that I had dementia. It was truly vile.

I don't operate like that. If I have a problem with somebody, I'll tell them. I'll be straight. I would never weaponise the justice system to have somebody imprisoned. It is sick. I wouldn't do it to my worst enemy.

Despite everything, I put country before any personal differences we have. I backed Reform's activity in Parliament when it's sensible, and I will continue to do so. Not once has a single Reform MP engaged with my work. The one who did, James McMurdock, was then kicked out too.

They don't support my efforts on mass deportations, Digital ID, the rape gangs, puberty blockers, banning foreigners from claiming benefits, halal slaughter, burqa bans and so much else.

We had 60 rape gang survivors come to Parliament, to meet MPs - it was an incredibly emotional day. Tories came, independents and Northern Irish came, Labour even came. Did Reform? No. They were invited. They did not come. Of course not. Lee Anderson even posted a picture of himself having a pint a few hours later. Grim.

My own view on Reform's current approach? Lazy, weak, pretty incompetent too. No real desire to tackle the big issues, no real policy work. All just lazy and arrogant. They think they have the election in the bag already. Britain needs more, and somehow I'm going to make sure that is on offer.

Take the deportation policy. Reform produced a two page plan. It was woeful. We put together 113 pages on properly researched policy. Yes, it was bloody hard work. But this is the effort that needs to go in.

Reform members are good people. Decent people. And I respect them hugely. But the leadership has proven itself to be rotten and self-serving. That's just the honest truth.

So look. What happened, happened. I see lots of comments asking about it, so there's my honest opinion.

I'll work with anyone to deliver for the country, that includes Reform - the people who tried to put me in prison.

I don't know mate just posted the list of major defectors.

Like I say Reform have to get a majority to stand a chance or a Labour/Green/LD coalition will be ruling us come next election. Plucking a couple of hundred of the right politically inclined people off the streets to become MPs with no background in politics would be an impossible task. Wilf's already mentioned councillors but for many its just a job and moving to a better job with more pay and prospects is what we would all do, it don't always mean you were crap at your last job though. At some stage in life we have all changed our minds, opinions and views on certain matters so I see defections in politics no different. We all have a option to apply to be a councillor and change things and as I've mentioned before I was offered the opportunity but its easier to sit on here and moan because I don't have the time, attitude or inclination to be one.

Thats not a party political broadcast for Reform its just facts, yes most in government are self serving rats but thats politics for you. I still think the MSM are dressing it  up as something else to put doubt into the public minds who are considering voting Reform though and it appears to be working.
