No one mentioned cigarettes machines outside tobacconists.

That brought back a memory Lee.

I was about 15 and hanging about with a group of mates in the local square. A older Lad in his early 20's pulled up near us in his car pulled up got out put a cable around the fag machine. He drove off over the river bridge with the fag machine bouncing along behind.

I can remember us just standing there for a minute or two without saying a word.

We all knew him but never saw a thing. Don't think he got caught for that one Lol.

Cheers Arry

Exactly this mate, I do that as well from time to time…..and same as you, it can get you feeling a bit blue but I think it’s also a decent reminder that things wasn’t always this way and so it follows it can be better.

@TOMO Have a look for the Esso films “a look at Britain” (may have the title slightly wrong…..they are brilliant mate.

My mistake, it was called “Our Native Shore”……

And they could be mended with a spanner and not a quantum super computer and £18 million quid in parts ! lol

Emission from my uncles old cortina consisted of the smell of whisky and fags wafting out the window as he drove round town at a 10000000 mph absolutely battered ! lol

We used to call him “Monty” (as in General Montgomery)  on account of he was the youngest brother and had missed the war so did national service instead !

He would pull up to my pals in town and say “need a lift lads” absolutely reeking of Jonny Walker and my pals were all like “No thanks Monty, we will walk !” lol
