What's it like eating wise...any different to brown trout..? Yes it's like a downrigger for fishing at extreme depth. Your actually using a handline, the rod just holds it away from the boat. I went out char fishing in summer and caught about 8. I gave them to my brother to BBQ for us and he did 7 of them on a day we couldn't go! So I've still not tried em!
