Is it crows or ravens that open the boxes on snow mobiles...and pull up fishing lines from ice fishing holes...they pull it up and trap it with there feet

pesky1972 5,724 Posted yesterday at 15:52 Report Share Posted yesterday at 15:52 Good video that. Reckon animals are often a lot smarter than we give them credit for. My guess is a wolf watched the trap being set and went to investigate once it was unattended. A lot of critters will associate humans with food opportunities. A wolf might also be able to smell a fishy bait, even if it was underwater. 1
pesky1972 5,724 Posted yesterday at 15:58 Report Share Posted yesterday at 15:58 Crows are an absolute fascination. We had a few fledglings kicking around a few months back, my missus was feeding them out the kitchen window. She’d whistle and they’d appear. Was getting ridiculous as whenever someone was in the kitchen they’d come and make a racket expecting a feed. Had another one peck the top of the cover over the rotary drier. Bought a new one and the bugger has nearly destroyed that one too. Christ knows why it does it.
