I’ve said before it will be us grubby earthy types that survive while the washers scrubbers and mask wearers will be dropping like flys

Thinking about it , although our sick rate can be quite high at work sometimes.  It's rarely through bugs , coughs , colds etc . It's usually through damaged , backs , knees , shoulders , or getting hit by cars.

Again, thinking about it . Your average binman is probably exposed to more shite in a week , than an average person is exposed to in a lifetime.

I remember the big ( outdoor )meeting when covid kicked off . Information was passed down from a government cobra meeting , to the local authority cobra lot . We were told that , were in it until the bitter end ( no furlough for binmen) , we know that bins will be a major vector for covid , as everyone touches a bin ,  we know that 80% of you will get it , but , we don't know how many of you will die .

When I was in my way home ten minutes later , I passed a funeral directors , just as they were having a huge refrigerated storage unit dropped off in the back yard , to store all the bodies..  I remember taking my boots off , and saying to my mrs. , " well that's me f****d "  . 😄.

I'm still vexed as f**k about it all . All of the council were put on furlough ( at 100% wages )for a year , except,  binmen , meals on wheels , and crematorium staff .  When it was all over , it was proposed that those of us that worked through covid , should get a bonus of 2k or 3k , but the ones that had been on furlough played up about it , and we didn't get it .  The council decided to give us an extra 1 day holiday instead , and again , the folks on furlough played up about it , so they got given an extra day off as well( c**ts).

Just thinking about it all still boils my f***ing piss !!!. All I got out of covid , was catching f***ing covid , and the f***ing embarrassment of people clapping at us as we walked the streets , I could have crawled up my own arse.

Edited to add.

It also boils my piss , that I'm now paying for the financial damage done to the country , by sitting everyone at home for a year.

Both of my kids got the shit end of the stick as well , but they both came out of it better than they went in.

Alcohol is a great pain reliever. I read somewhere that victorians walked around mostly pissed to cope with their various aches and pains. Or maybe the world seems a better place when you are half cut

I know mate . Some came out of covid with a big smile,  and a bulging bank account , but some folks really got the shit end of the stick.

I'm still really pissed about it all.

My mrs closed her business , and went into full time mask production.  The masks were sold for a donation , if you could afford to pay , you paid , if you couldn't afford to pay , they were free( the donations were to help cover some of the the costs of materials) . I called time on it when we saw her masks for sale on Ebay at a tenner each , the c**t selling them had had 80 masks off us for free , to give to an old people's home 🤬

Trying to pitch in and help , and just doing the right thing , cost me about 10k out of my own pocket , and cost my mrs thousands of hours , doing 12 hour days making free masks.

I stayed open ( food retail ) all through covid , had some staff try it on with me. But the ones that stayed loyal and worked 6 days a week and long hours to keep us open and trading I gave them all a grand bonus each for being loyal and working hard and there still with me today and we only a very small buisness . A shady family relative who had a shady buisness , him and his wife got furlough on there directors wages , plus the government hand out for 3 buisness and got 3 bounce back loans and now they gone bump again.

Fair play to you for looking after those loyal to you mate.

A lot of folks really rinsed the system during covid , and now we're all paying for it , and will be paying until we die.

I felt sorry for my lad, the company he worked for wouldn't furlough them . He was working three days a week , and earning less than dole money.

My daughter lost her job in a pub kitchen,  but soon got a job working for the job centre.  They all had instructions to just process all claims . She said that most of them were clearly just scammers , but it didn't matter , they just had to get them all processed and paid.

Yep the whole thing was a piss take and I used to tell all the customers that was gloating that they was sat on there arses for full pay, that we will all be paying it back for years to come. I mean my family member had over 150 grand in bounce back loans and waxed the lot on a new caravan, a bmw M4 and god knows what else he spunked it on.

Yep, a lot of folks did very nicely out of the whole fiasco.

The young couple that lived next door to me , would be drinking red wine on the patio by 9am every morning,  and theyd be going at it until teatime.  They were loving it .

Mind you , I would have probably done the same if I'd had the chance.

I remember four of the personal trainers from the council leisure centre , offering to come and work on the bins , rather than being furloughed.  They came to the depot to get ppe and have an induction . Two of them just said " f**k that ", and went back home . The other two of them started the next day . One of them did two hours and jacked , and the other one worked until dinnertime and jacked 😄.

In regards to autism, Autism’s always been around was called childhood schizophrenia back in the 60s/70s .. always been prevalent just not picked up on like it is now, teachers notice the slightest thing and throw a autism or adhd diagnosis at it and the parents run with it for some extra doh..

ive 7 kids all been absolutely fine my last son who’s 4 nearly still hasn’t started speaking properly he’s clearly a bit different to my others not really interested in socialising dosent really listen to you or respond to his name if he’s occupied my little girl whos 2 is leaps and bounds ahead of him in many ways, the teachers are all over him trying to arrange assessments and all sorts.

told them to basically piss off and treat him no different to the rest he won’t be labelled and made to feel different and if he doesn’t get on at school he’ll be kept at home with us and come to work with me everyday.

not interested in a extra 30 quid a week or whatever it is they can keep it, but he won’t be messed around with by these divs that think they know everything as some of the shit suggest is ridiculous.

all mine had there jabs and he did as well so out of 7 he’s the only one who has struggled. I belive it’s something they are born with 100 per cent.
